In April, we released an importer that allows you to pull Bitbucket repos linked to Jira Software projects directly into Compass as components. Turns out, y’all liked it! We’ve seen you create thousands of components through this method in just a few short months. It makes sense - components created through this importer automatically have the repo link and Jira project added, fast tracking your catalog setup time. However since then, it's been limited to only Bitbucket users.
I’m pleased to announce that this importer now works for any type of repo linked to a JSW project. Github and Gitlab users, rejoice! Now it’s even easier for you to get your catalog in quick working order and keep it up to date.
To access this importer, click “Create” in the top navigation bar, select “Import Components” and then click “Import” next to Jira Software. You can pick from your frequently used JSW Projects and import the repos in just a few clicks.
Happy cataloging - and let us know what you’d like to see next 😁
