So... I'll throw out a contrarian view on the whole "global warming" debate.  CO2 FEEDS TREES.  Trees take our CO2 and - via photosynthesis - converts it to oxygen.  Trees are not the only organism which performs this miracle, but they are a HUGE factor in the overall global equation.  We should not downplay the importance of responsible management of our CO2 footprint, but we don't hear near enough about how CO2 feeds our global ecology, most notably... TREES.

Plant as many as possible; clear-cutting forests decimates our eco-system, and destroys the habitat of countless species of animals and insects.  Despite my personal hatred of spiders and snakes, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God - in His infinite wisdom - has placed ALL of it here for a purpose.  Hopefully the spiders and snakes can play their part in His magnificent symphony of life somewhere other than my "1 acre of crabgrass", lol.

So, plant as many trees as possible.  @Monique vdB any updates on our totals as of today?

According to scientific studies, a single tree can offset anywhere between 21.77 kg CO2/tree to 31.5 kg CO2/tree per year. In order to offset 1 tonne of CO2, you would need between 31-46 trees.
