I was thrilled to share about our organization's new successful, just implemented, SOX Compliance Project using Jira Work Management. This is a big project to include all SOX applications at our organization across locations, together in a single project. These were earlier scattered and managed by individual teams. Many times, in past, we have faced the lack of details and clarity, and process followed in each project. There was No single procedure to follow, and even a single team/project had multiple process based on different situation. Truly we had big problem with tracking and auditing.
It was a great relief and a very big success to bring all different teams, works and concepts to a single location with ample visibility to required personnel. Lots of challenges were faced as each team and project had different workflow and procedures. Getting all into a consolidated single workflow and process system was a great success. Truly Jira has the capabilities to give a very robust secured platform.
Some actions that we integrated are multi-layer approvals, addition of custom fields, multi directional workflow system, usage of multiple automations and triggers, integration of Teams Chat to catch all discussions, testing and validation templates, setting up of notifications and dashboard updates, linking of confluence pages, Teams and Groups setup etc. This facilitated more transparencies and added security. The feature of attachments at a single location (with auto prefix of the Issue#) and the availability of history and Approval details, very much makes the system more audit friendly.
Currently the new consolidated SOX project has completed successful internal audit.
