repo permission in bitbucket

I was reading the difference between repository permissions and branch permissions in bitbucket.

In repo permissions, person with write access has Push option green (enabled).

does that push means, he can push the changes to any branch in that repo?

if not, what does push means here?

I understand that through branch permission, we can push the changes to a specific branch, but push option in repository permission is confusing me

Hello,

If you give the write access to your repository for a user, the user will be able to push to any branch, unless you restrict pushing to certain branches with branch permissions.
