I have been sporadically but successfully using BitBucket with SSH authentication for years. My last successful commit was on 2019-03-21.
On Wednesday of this week, SSH authentication no longer worked despite using the same private key/public key combination used for years.
Has anything changed recently with BitBucket's SSH authentication? I believe my old SSH key is quite short (1024 bits?). Was there are recent change deeming 1024 bits as too short?
On the client side, I am using Spring Tool Suite (Eclipse) version: 3.9.4.RELEASE with EGit 4.11.0
Yes, I could create a new key pair. There are some challenges related to changing keys that I am hoping to avoid.
Thanks.
Although I am embarrassed to post this, I hope it will help someone else down the road.
This problem has been solved; I had simply been using a slightly incorrect passphrase.
Because the passphrase I was using was close to the correct passphrase, I had convinced myself I was using correct passphrase.
