Hello,

I am not receiving any emails from Bitbucket. I have verified that the email address is correct, that I have email notifications enabled, and that I am watching the repositories.

I also tried to get a recovery link sent, that also did not arrive in my email inbox.

I have checked the spam folder.

Could my email be blocked on Bitbucket's end?

Hi Michael René and welcome to the community!

I checked our email logs and I see that the emails we send to your email address are dropped, because we received a hard bounce response from your mail server in the past, with the message:

554 5.7.1 recipient address was suppressed due to customer policy

You can find more info here on what this message means. In this case, the email address is placed on a suppression list.

I went ahead and removed your email address from the suppression list. If your email address is operational and you can receive emails from others, can you please keep an eye on your inbox for any newer Bitbucket emails from now on?

Kind regards,
Theodora

Welcome to the community, @Michael René Andersen

It's difficult to say without more information, but I can think of two possibilities:

  1. You are using a custom domain that has not authorized Atlassian to send on its behalf via SPF/DKIM, and your email server is rejecting the message on that basis. You can test this theory by checking the email server logs.
  2. Atlassian doesn't like some publicly available email domains like Protonmail (and probably others). You might be using one of those domains.
