Unable to see all changes in a Pull Request

Jostein Topland November 16, 2017

Hi,

We're using Bitbucket's Pull Request feature for merging changes from a feature branch into a main branch. This should do the same merge as SourceTree, TortoiseGit or the command-line interface git tool.

However, Pull Requests from Bitbucket does not show all files in the diff file list, compared to what is seen in SourceTree. When merging the Pull Request, it reports about a conflict about files not listed in the Pull Request. These are shown from SourceTree.

How come Bitbucket's Pull Request not show the same diff as other tools, e.g. SourceTree?

Thanks!

We're having a similar issue - in a rare occasion, creating a pull request and doing diffs between certain branches shows the modified files, but with zero differences.  Doing a comparable operation on Intellij or SourceTree shows the actual changes.  Merging then comparing branches also does not show the error, but the merge does seem to have happened.
