Synk forks via rebase

TEXHIK Red April 5, 2019

Is there any option to sync fork with original via rebase instead of merge, without need of doing it manually through git and then pushing to the repo?

Hi TEXHIK,

We'll need a more elaborate description to be able to understand what you're looking for. Can you clarify the following?:

  1. What do you mean by "sync fork"
  2. What do you mean by "without need of doing it manually through git"? Do you mean like having a button?
  3. Are you using Bitbucket Server or Cloud?

If you're on Cloud, you can read more about the Sync option here.

If you're on Server, you can find more here.

Is that what you were looking for?

Best regards,

Ana

Hi Ana,

1. I mean when I have fork of another repo and want to sync it with commits that were pushed in original repo

2. Yep, I mean button just like as it is now, but with ability to chose merge-strategy ither in repo settings or when i'm pushing the link:

Now if I use this buton, I'll get a merge-commit. If I want to rebase, I should add original repo as a remote, update locally wia rebase and then push into my repo.

3. what?) I'm useing just regular bitbucket repository hosting
