Setting branchModel development and production fields with REST API

I have found the following information to getting the branch model configuration
https://developer.atlassian.com/static/rest/stash/3.3.2/stash-branch-utils-rest.html#idp27680

This would suggest that you can only read the currently set values. I am trying to write a repository init script that would set the development and production branches.

Is this possible?
