I have (had?) a handful of repositories stored at Bitbucket and the last login I made was 2 years ago. Now I'm trying to access those repos but most of them are missing. I read many posts and they ask to verify other possible email used and also to include the "wokspace" in the URL. Tried all 3 emails I use. About the workspace, the problem is that any of them have any wokspace! I verified the remote registered on my local repositories and all of them have only this kind of URL:
https://<myuser>@bitbucket.org/<myreponame>.git
How can I retrieve or have access to my repos? Please help.
Hi Marcos and welcome to the community!
After you log in to Bitbucket Cloud with a certain email address, please select your avatar (top right corner) > select All workspaces to see a list of the workspaces this account has access to.
You can then open each workspace from this page, and select Repositories from the menu at the top to see any repositories you have access to in this workspace.
If these missing repositories were Mercurial (and not Git repositories), these were removed from our platform in 2020:
We are no longer able to restore those repositories.
If you are looking for a Mercurial repository that was public, all the public repos were archived by Software Heritage:
We haven't removed any Git repositories, so if you had Git repos, you need to figure out the email address of the account that had access to these repos. In case you use Gmail, please keep in mind that the emails username@gmail.com, user.name@gmail.com and username+bitbucket@gmail.com all share the same inbox, but they are considered different email addresses for Bitbucket. Apart from logging in to https://bitbucket.org/ with different email addresses, you can also try searching the inbox of the emails you own for any Bitbucket emails and check the recipient's email address (this can be useful for Gmail if you used a username with dots or with the plus sign).
Another thing to keep in mind is that if any other user had admin access to these repos, they may have revoked your access, deleted, or transferred the repos.
Kind regards,
Theodora
