Licenses for smart mirroring

Chris James February 16, 2018

We are considering using Bitbucket cloud, and would like to mirror the repo in our own infrastructure.

I see we need the premium cloud edition to have the smart mirroring feature, but would we also need to purchase a server license in addition to the cloud premium user licenses to install the mirror?

Also, can we have multiple mirrors?  Would we need a license for each server instance?

Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,

Since you are already on the Premium plan, you will be able to use the mirroring functionalities.

No additional license for the mirror is required and you can have multiple mirrors.

Before you start installing the mirror, I would suggest reviewing the smart mirroring for Bitbucket Cloud page to check the available features.

These are the main items to note from that page:

  • The mirror is read-only – you push to your Bitbucket Cloud account, but clone, fetch and pull from your local mirror.
  • Mirrors automatically sync changes in the background – no need to manually keep your mirror up to date.
  • You can mirror all the projects in your accounts or just specific ones.

Cheers,
