Importing repository with LFS

I've read this page about LFS current limitations. Do the limitations for transferring a repository extend to importing a repository as well? I have a template repo that I'm trying to use to create other project repositories. There are no issues with my template repo but after importing to a new repo, the LFS file references seem to be broken.

Hi Andy! Yes, importing a repository with LFS is a similar case to transferring it, so you'll need to use the workaround listed on that page.
