I tried to export proxies from Apigee X, which is visible in audit logs but not in Repository.

Om Gosavi (TCS) July 31, 2024

I was trying to export the API Proxies from the Apigee X Platform to the Bitbucket Repository, I got the response in audit logs that Proxies are exported in the repository. But when I opened the directory in which I tried to export the Proxies, I was not able to see any proxy.
Also, when I try to read the files in proxy, I am able to read it in the audit logs. But can't see it in the Repository. Kindly, help me with this.

Hi @Om Gosavi (TCS) and welcome to the community.

Just a heads up, I removed the screenshots from your post as this is a public forum (please do not post repository content publicly).

Based on your description, you are missing certain files from the repository's source code. Is that correct?

I suggest the following:

  • Ensure you are looking at the source code of the branch where you pushed these files.

When you open a repository on Bitbucket's website and select the Source page, you see the source code on the repo's main branch. If you committed and pushed these files to a different branch, you will need to switch branches. There is a dropdown right above the list of the files with the branch name. You can click on that to select a different branch name.

  • Check the commits of the branch where you pushed these files. It is possible that someone deleted these files with a subsequent commit.

  • If you commit and push a .zip file in a Bitbucket repo, then Bitbucket will list this .zip file. However, you won't be able to view its content on the source page. If you want to see these files in Bitbucket, you will need to extract the zip locally in a clone of the repo, and then commit all these files (instead of the zip).

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Theodora

Hi @Theodora Boudale thanks for the reply,

I have made another specific branch for the exporting of the API Proxies. Also, I checked for the commits and branch there is no delete in the commit also the pipeline had a successful run. Still, I cannot see any .zip in the source code. I have unzipped the file in the pipeline itself, I can see the proxy bundle has been downloaded and unzipped in the pipeline output (audit logs). But cannot see it in the branch directory of the source code in which I have specified it.

So, the issue is still unresolved. Kindly, help me with this.

Waiting for your reply.

Thank you.

Hi @Om Gosavi (TCS),

It's hard to say what exactly is happening without looking at the contents of the repo and the pipeline. We need a support ticket in order to be able to access these. Since your workspace is on a paid billing plan, I suggest creating a ticket with the support team and sharing there:

  • The URL of the Pipelines build
  • The URL to the source code where the file is missing

The support ticket will be visible to you and Atlassian staff only, so anything you post there won't be publicly visible.

You can create a ticket via https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/, in "What can we help you with?" select "Technical issues and bugs" and then Bitbucket Cloud as product. When you are asked to provide the workspace URL, please make sure you enter the URL of the workspace that is on a paid billing plan to proceed with ticket creation.

Kind regards,
Theodora
