Hello @Suhas Kurse and welcome to the Community!

This error is returned when you are providing the wrong credentials for the authentication or when you don't have access to the content.

To authenticate git operations over HTTPS you need to provide the following:

  • username : your bitbucket account username. It can be found and changed under your personal bitbucket settings.
  • app password : a token used to authenticate (it's not the same password used to login to the website). If you haven't already, you can create a new app password.

Could you confirm if you are using the credentials as per the above instructions?

I'd also recommend going through the steps outlined in the article Authentication Error - "remote: Invalid username or password" that cover other scenarios where you could receive that error message, and steps to fix it.

I hope that information helps!

Thank you, @Suhas Kurse !

Patrik S
