So i know how the ''simple way'' of asymmetric encryption works, but how do I create and share my public key with other people?

Hi Percival, welcome to the Community :)

To generate your SSH key, you can follow the instructions at https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/creating-ssh-keys-776639788.html

Then, to share it, you can simply send the 'id_rsa.pub' to them using a means that you consider secure (like email for example, better if it's encrypted), or even using a pen drive. Note that the name of the file might be different if you changed it, but you always have to share the file that ends in .pub, never the other one!

I hope that helps, you Percival. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Kind regards,

Ana
