How do I change repository owner in bitbucket-server ?

Penny Boulet November 23, 2018

When people depart it would be nice to just change the owner of the repositories they leave behind. How can I do this?

Hi Penny, welcome to the Community!

There's no ownership of repositories in Bitbucket Server, unless you're referring to a personal repository. Bitbucket admins have access to all projects and repos.

If the repository was created on a public project it is not owned by anyone, but if it is a personal repository then it is. However, there's no way to change ownership, you can only move it to another project.

For more info, you can read Creating personal repositories.

Kind regards,
Ana
