Can I link Bitbucket issues to confluence without Jira?

I imagined Bitbucket issues would be straight forward to link (as macros) to Confluence. It seems I need Jira to do that.

Is it possible to do this without using Jira and if not, what other alternatives do I have

Hi Alex! At the moment this is not possible, but we have a Feature request for it and you can vote for it in our issue tracker:

- For Confluence Server: CONFSERVER-30924

- For Confluence Cloud: CONFCLOUD-30924

Hope that helps :)
