when I try to start it I get this error

failed to start bitbucket.service: Unit not found

Hi Ibzan! 

Looks like you didn’t install Bitbucket correctly as a service. Please repeat the steps explained at Running Bitbucket Server as a Service.

Keep also in mind that some systemd installations ignore sysv-init scripts completely unless forced by the configuration.
