Bitbucket backup policy

Haymel April 2, 2024

We have a Bitbucket community/academic plan license, my question is: there is a difference between community/academic license and others? or its the same backup policy for all of them? I just find general information: https://confluence.atlassian.com/bbkb/does-bitbucket-backup-my-repositories-1168845079.html

Thanks

Hi @Haymel

The backup policy applies to users of all tiers (including Free/Academic), there is no difference in backup policy between these tiers.

Essentially, the support team can restore core repository data up to 7 days - this backup data consists of hourly snapshots for point-in-time restoration.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Hi @ITHELP

Snapshot backups are automatically processed and stored in the cloud on an hourly frequency and cover a period of 7 days, our policy covers this in a post below:

If you'd like to make a local backup manually, we also have documentation regarding this below:

If you are encountering data loss issues where you need a repository to be restored, please let us know.

Cheers!
