Best way to execute custom shell/perl scripts as pre-receive hooks in BitBucket

Kailash Subramanian February 28, 2018

Hello,

We are migrating from clearcase to BitBucket. There are some existing trigger scripts written in shell/perl for clearcase and we would like to use the same scripts for BitBucket as well at this point. These scripts are responsible for enforcing code standards, formatting etc. Since we don't have any groovy expertise and there is a lot of scripts, we need to use them as such at least initially. Hence I am looking for the best possible way to run these scripts in BitBucket. I would appreciate any suggestions/recommendations here.

Thanks
Kailash

Are you asking about Bitbucket Cloud (bitbucket.org) or Bitbucket Server?

There's a free add-on for Bitbucket Server called External Hooks that might be able to help here.
