API for Workspace Member Removal

Is there an API endpoint that allows us to programmatically remove members from a workspace? We want to automate the process of deleting workspace members.

Hi @cm devops,

There are two types of user access:

  • Group access. The user belongs to a workspace's user group.
  • Direct repo access. The user has been added explicitly to a certain repo (not via a user group).

For group access, if you haven't moved your administration from Bitbucket Cloud to, you can use the groups endpont (see section DELETE a member)

If you have moved your administration from Bitbucket Cloud to, you will need to use the Cloud Admin Rest APIs:

For direct repo access, you can use the following endpoint to remove a user from a repo:

You can first use the following endpoint to list users that have direct access to each of your repos:

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
