use remote server

Hi all, we have server with specific local installed software and we need build plan and run test locally.

Best way here to install bamboo agent, but my it team told me, that is possible to use remote bamboo agent (installed on different server) to run plan on "specific server"

Is it possible?

If yes - could you share information, how it's possible.

Hi Andrey,

It is absolutely possible to do this.
Bamboo remote agents can run on a specific server, in this case, the server with the locally installed software, and can be dedicated to particular builds and deployments.

You can create a build which is specialized for the required server, install a remote agent on said server, and dedicate the agent to the build.

This would then mean whenever that build runs, it only runs on the agent which is dedicated to it. This would mean that it would only run on that server.
