How to implement Query result comparison

Hi guys,

 

I'm new to Bamboo and I would like to use Bamboo to test our Data Warehouse. I've an idea but I don't have the knowledge how implement this within Bamboo.

A test consists of two queries, one on the source database and the other on the data warehouse. If the result of both queries are identical, the test passed.

Can you please point me in the right direction how to implement this test case using Bamboo?

Hello @Bas van de Lustgraaf,

Try to think out of tool. How would you solve this task without any CI server? Maybe some shell script, or Node.js application, or JUnit test. When you can execute your task from your command line then you can use some tool, like Bamboo to execute it remotely in controlled environment.

I'll go and check out JUnit. If I remember well, you can do object comparison in JUnit. Thank you!
