Best upgrade route for Bamboo 2.5.3 to 5.0?

We need to upgrade our Bamboo install (2.5.3). Please could you advise the shortest upgrade path to 5.0 - so the versions in between we must upgrade to.

Upgrade path from 2.5.3 to 2.6.3 to 2.7.4 to 5.0 worked for us.

Caveat: on upgrade to 2.7.4 all of our plans wouldn't run as we kept seeing:

java.lang.SecurityException: gss.conf (No such file or directory)

for each plan. We burnt about a day trying to diagnose this problem.

But we pushed ahead with upgrading to 5.0 and it resolved this - we only saw one occurrence of this error in the logs on startup but all our plans execute fine now.

Hi Kelvin,

Since you are using Bamboo 2.5.3, you might need to upgrade to Bamboo 2.6.3 > 2.7.4 > 4.3 > 5.0. For more information, please refer to the following documentation.

Upgrade to 4.3 is not needed. You can upgrade to 5.0 directly from 2.7.4.
