Jira Automation - issue.issuelinks.size not working on Jira Server

Matt Moody October 14, 2021

So I am on Jira Server 8.5.4 with Jira Automation plugin 7.3.5.

I have the following rule setup:

Screenshot 2021-10-14 092349.jpg

The Audit log shows success that it commented on the issue but when I look at the issue the size is missing.  Just has the following comment:

Screenshot 2021-10-14 092609.jpg

I have two linked issues and when I remove both of them then the rule will not add a comment so I know it is running the rule and it can recognize that there are linked issues but it won't print out the number of linked issues in the comment.

If anyone knows what I have messed up I would really appreciate some input.

Hi @Matt Moody

To be honest, I am using Cloud not Server.  With that out of the way...

I see that smart value available for Cloud and it is not listed on the documentation for Server.  You may want to try these steps to confirm if the smart value is available for your instance:

Kind regards,
Bill

Matt, I am glad to learn you got an answer, and it is unfortunate that field isn't available.

I'm hoping we get a single smart value glossary one day to help finding these differences between products.  Here's my suggestion for that:
