Hello! Question about external links in confluence - after I gave an external link to the wiki project - an anonymous user can go through it - the project itself opens, but it says that there is no access to the subsection. I did not find in the settings to give access. How can I configure access rights for anonymous users for external links - so that they can see all subsections of the project?

Hi @Dmitry Logunov and welcome to Community.

There are two ways you can share Confluence content with external users:

  • by making the entire space available for anonymous users, so they can see the page tree and access content in the space (except of course any page you have put specific restrictions on)
  • by generating a public link for specific pages and sharing that public link (watch out: it's not the url in your navigator, it's the link available from the public link option)

Before users can generate a public link for a page, the setting has to be turned on for the space. But that doesn't mean all pages are available to public users, it just means it's possible to generate public links for individual pages.

If you need external users to be able to see multiple pages, you should make your space available to anonymous users. You will need to check that the lock symbol on any sub pages is not on, meaning those pages have restrictions on who can see them.
