Hello Atlassian Community,
I encountered a doubt while resolving a customer query.
We’re the solution partner on Atlassian Marketplace, assisting our customer in migrating their application from data center to the cloud. The customer is using JCMA (Jira Cloud Migration Assistant), and In assessment of apps, under the Migration Path column, it states that users need to “contact vendor” for that.
We’ve checked this for other applications as well and found that in some cases, we can submit documentation for the migration path. However, we’re unsure of the specific location where to submit this documentation. We’ve also reviewed the marketplace listing settings of the app but haven’t found any relevant information.
Just mentioning here that our app is a plug-and-play application that is available for both cloud and data center environments. Unlike other applications, Our app doesn’t store any project data and no additional steps are needed to transfer data or configurations for the app itself. Therefore, we need to update this information in JCMA to automate the process for users. Our app is called Links Explorer Traceability & Hierarchy.
Any suggestion on this would be appreciated
The grey question mark indicates that Jira Cloud Migration Assistant cannot retrieve information from the server app about whether a cloud app exists. This is most likely due to technical reasons.
Contact vendor: This text link takes you to the Marketplace Partner support page where you can contact them directly regarding the availability of a cloud app.
I guess raising a support ticket with Atlassian would be best idea in this case if the cloud app exists for the app on which you are see the problem.
Hi @Samyak Masulkar ,
Thankyou for your response.
Just to inform you that we’re the developers of the app, and I’m reaching out to you on behalf of one of our users who’s migrating from Jira DC to Jira Cloud. The app is currently available in the cloud, and we’re trying to figure out how to include the migration path for the app in the JCMA.
Thanks a bunch for you suggestion!
