I am from the Mother City (Cape Town, South Africa), during my free time I enjoy outdoor activities, such as Mountain Climbing, Hiking, Surfing and braaiing (barbeque).
I am a C# Software engineer at SovTech, I feel blessed living Cape Town because it is so beautiful. Don't take my words for it though, here is a photo, you decided:
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” by Hunter S. Thompson, is my favorite quote.
The reason form my involvement in answering community questions is purely selfish, helping people makes me feel good and improves my understanding of different topic.
Noob here sorry, but I am excited to join your community, thank you.
Adios, Sincerely,
(don) Pablo
Welcome to the Community @Pablo Brincat
South Africa looks beautiful!
Welcome, welcome! 🎉
Welcome @Pablo Brincat ! I like your motives: You can help yourself by helping others, sounds like a great trade-off :-). I love to see Cape Town! I'm from Spain, so it always bring me the memories from when they won the Worldcup there in 2010. Good times...
Glad you are here, @Pablo Brincat. That quote from Hunter S. Thompson has my favorite too for many years. And kudos to you for finding ways to participate and help!
Another quote I love, from Mary Oliver: "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?". Namaste, all.
Hello! Welcome to the community! Hm ... Atlassian informed me about your post, but I'm not a member of this community ... It seems ... But I don't see a problem welcoming you here :)) Hi, @Pablo Brincat !
It the beautiful city. For some reason, Russian children (those who are older) were accompanied by cartoons about Africa in childhood. For some reason, we had more cartoons about Africa than about Asia, about Europe, Than about the Americas. and... Africa looks like this:
(these are Russian cartoons about Africa. The language here is Russian, but the emotional component is more important in them, and it is understandable without words)

(Russia here resembles Russia in approximately the same way as Africa:))
Not like in the above photo, but these are cute, kind cartoons about Africa. Africa never was like that, but cartoons introduced me to this Africa. And yes, there are really a lot of them:))
So why am I writing this. Here are the cartoons about Africa. Have you seen them in Africa? and...In order to exchange cultural experience.
Do you have cartoons about Russia? (Suddenly there is, but we do not know
It is interesting from which cartoons we learn the World. After watching these cartoons, as a child I will say "Hey, Pablo, I like Africa!" Pablo, how do you like the africa I know?:))
Do you have cartoons about Russia? (Suddenly there is, but we do not know)
And in general, I don't remember this kind of kind cartoons about Russia, maybe someone saw it?
