I am trialling Atlas, and setting up projects and goals.
I created a few goals. Atlas automatically assigned me as the Owner of those goals.
I am trying to change the owner of a goal to someone who is a director of a different team, however, changes are not being saved, and the owner is getting reverted to myself.
We have enabled sync of the "Manager" field from our IDP to the teams in Atlassian.
Before enabling "manager" sync from IDP to teams in Atlas, I was able to change the owner of a goal to whoever in the site. I am not 100% sure if this is related.
Can Atlas product admin change ownership of a goal?
I appreciate any help on this?
Hi VP,
There shouldn't be any reason you can't change the ownership of the goal to someone else, regardless of their title/leveling. I'll have our team look into this—could you share any screenshots or a description of what happens when you try to set someone else as the goal Owner? For example, does it show the new person in the Owner field after you've selected then, but then it reverts once you hit refresh?
When I select a new owner and leave the editor, it reverts to myself.
Could this be related to a scenario where a user is granted access to Atlas (already an Atlassian user), but not yet logged into Atlas, and if I try assigning a Goal or a Project to that person it reverts to me?

That's definitely one possibility, are you able to it to someone else (other than the person you actually want to assign it to)? That might help us determine if it's a tech problem or if it's a user permissions/access problem.
In the meantime, you can also log a ticket by going to any page in Atlas and clicking the "Give feedback" at the very top of the page. This will help us get our engineer's eyes on it so they can investigate from the backend as well.
