Hi Community!
Thank you to those who joined our first monthly Atlassian Guard Premium demo! We had an engaging group of attendees who asked great questions. In this post, I’ll share a recap of frequently asked questions as well as questions we didn’t get to during the demo.
The questions below are categorized by these topics:
Data Classification
Threat Detection
Remediation
Audit Logs
General Product Functionality
Integrations
Rebrand
Packaging & Pricing
I’ll continue to update this post as new questions come through from future demos so be sure to follow along for updates. If you have more questions, you can join a future demo or comment below.
We can’t wait to hear from you!
Data Classification
Question |
Answer |
---|---|
Are there space or project level permissions that govern who can modify classification levels? |
Not yet, but we’re investigating this. We’d love to hear more about your use cases! |
Threat Detection
Question |
Answer |
---|---|
Will regex support be added for the keyword detection? And when applied, will it only be for future content or will all content be retroactively scanned? |
Yes! This is on our roadmap, and we're hoping to make it available in Q3 2024. For now, our detections are point in time (so they happen at the point a page is published or updated), but we're exploring how we might do retroactive scanning in the future. |
Remediation
Question |
Answer |
---|---|
Is there any way to automate the remediation (e.g. auto disable suspicious user)? |
Not yet, but we're currently working on bringing automation into the product. Let us know if there are specific remediation options you’d like to see automated. |
Audit Logs
Question |
Answer |
---|---|
I noticed there are differences in audit log capabilities between Guard Standard and Premium plans. What exactly is in Guard Premium’s “comprehensive organization audit logs”? |
The main differences between audit logs are that Atlassian Guard Standard offers admin-initiated activity, whereas Atlassian Guard Premium also offers user-initiated activity across all your organization’s sites, API token usage activity, and webhooks. |
General Product Functionality
Question |
Answer |
---|---|
What features are available in Atlassian Guard Standard? |
Everything that currently exists with Atlassian Access today will continue to be in the standard plan of Atlassian Guard. You can see the complete list of functionality here. |
Can we limit page access to company domains to exclude externals from confidential material through these policies? |
We don’t have this capability yet, but this is something we may consider in future. |
Rather than having an Atlassian org admin be responsible for incident response, is there a roadmap item for a slightly less privileged role that a cyber incident response team can use to investigate these threats? For example, an incident responder may need to revoke API tokens or suspend accounts, but never add a new Org Admin |
Great suggestion! We are actively exploring this. It'll be a less privileged role that allows security admins to perform more investigative work without needing org admin privileges. |
Integrations
Question |
Answer |
---|---|
Can the detection alerts be fed into JSM? |
Yes! We have the ability to manually create Jira tickets from an alert or setup automation to create a ticket for every alert. |
Are data classifications integrated with the Atlassian Data Lake and Analytics? Could a connection be created that includes/excludes projects based on data classification? |
It is not integrated yet, but we are starting to explore this soon! |
Will there be any integration with Atlassian Rovo? |
There's no integration at the moment. This is something we’ll be exploring in the future.
|
Will Atlassian Guard Premium have an integration with Microsoft Purview? |
We are in early explorations and would love to hear more about how you use Microsoft Purview today. What problems are you hoping to address through an integration with Atlassian Guard Premium? Let us know in the comments or email our product lead, Matt Tse, directly at mtse [at] atlassian.com |
Rebrand
Question |
Answer |
---|---|
We are current Atlassian Access (now Atlassian Guard) customers. When will the name “Atlassian Guard” show in the product? |
The in-product changes in admin.atlassian.com will go into effect on June 12, 2024 PT to reflect the Atlassian Guard rebrand. |
