Using Structure on Jira cloud I don't understand the behavior of the numbers...
When looking at the Story Point field it looks ok.
When looking at the Sum of Story Points field - why do I see the number 26 and why does it change whenever I change the value in the field to the left?
Is it according to original estimation and then it is updated if I add or remove SP?
Is there an option to view only the latest sum?
I think I found the issue...might happen when editing the SP value manually on the Story when it has sub-tasks with SP
Hello @Yaniv
The Σ Story Points column aggregates Story Points in the hierarchy. I.e. you get 26 for the top issue because it has 13 Story Points individually, and there is the 8 + 5 Story Points summed up value from its sub-issues. The column reflects the existing values in the Story Points field in Jira, so if you change the field's value, what you see in the column is changed as well.
I hope this helps. If you need further assistance or have other questions about Structure, please reach out to us directly at our support portal.

So assuming I run an automation to calculate all the SP from the sub-tasks into the Story, it will be ok for the first time, but then, if an estimation of a SP of a sub-task is chancing, the story already has a value so at this time I will see again 2 numbers next to the story under the mentioned field.
Any way to avoid it?

@Yaniv
If you mean that you see 2 numbers next to each other for a Story, then it is expected in cases when the Story has its own value: then the aggregated value for the hierarchy is shown in black(as on the screenshot above for the CLONE story - it's 26: 13 of CLONE's own Story Points + 13 summed up Story Points of its sub-issues) and the own value of the Story is shown in grey.
If you mean something else or you need further assistance with this, please submit a support request at our portal and we'll get back to you shortly.
