If you’re a Jira admin, you know managing data compliance is challenging.
And here we are, wanting to help.
This is why, from now on, you can use Data Residency in the My Requests Extension for Jira Service Management (Cloud).
💡 Why do you need data residency? Data Residency is a commitment to data control. This capability allows you to select the exact geographic location to store your project data. You can also share information globally if it fits your business better.
Choosing a location for your data helps you store sensitive information according to specific region’s regulations. This is crucial for industries like finance, healthcare, and government. Data Residency protects data within specified boundaries, supporting data compliance.
🔑 How it works? My Requests Extension automatically stores data based on the location of your Jira instance. Currently, the app supports 2 locations: the USA and the EU. It’s possible to use the following app URLs:
myrequests.net
myrequests.eu
The plugin determines Data Residency during installation. This means you get the accurate data location right from setup.
