modify time in status in JIRA

Ashish Manandhar March 20, 2017

Is there any way to modify time in status of a JIRA issue? We would like to modify date and time of few JIRA issues that are incorrectly transitioned from one status to another. We would like to update them for reporting purpose.

Not really, because it's calculated from the status changes.

Withou saing that @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- is wrong, if it's rely a nessesity you can allways change it directly on the database.

It's not advised, but totaly possible. Before making the changes on the database is recomended to shut down Jira.

I think tha table were the transitions are stored is OS_HISTORYSTEP

True, if you hack all the underlying data in the database, then the calculation will be fine

But

1) you should never hack a JIRA database, as it can easily destroy everything.

2) You should hack all the affected tables, not just the one the calculation is done on.
