Bitbucket Cloud does not currently keep statistics on clone operations. However, this has been raised before and there is a feature request on our public issue tracker: https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issues/192/project-statistics-bb-502

You could vote on that and place a watch on it to stay informed of future activity.

A Git/Mercurial repository IS a set of commits, so getting a commit history is a very natural operation. I don't think Git itself keeps any records of clones, because it doesn't effect the current repo.

There may be a Bitbucket feature that tracks clone operations, but if so, it will be nothing like how you view the commit history of a repository.
