Recreating the comments

Tom Hansen February 26, 2015

We had a programmer update the database incorrectly and wipe out all the comments.  Of course the backup also wasn't complete.  Is there any place the comments are stored besides the jiraaction table?

If you have an XML backup atleast, it will be in there. No other place in the DB.

Hi Tom,

Alternatively if you have an older backup of the database, you may be able to retrieve the comments from there, but I would stick with Jobin procedure to restore an XML backup.

Cheers,

Rodrigo
