I need to some ideas in doing Capacity planning for web and DB, If some one can help?

Details

  • I do have 10K user licenses
  • JIRA 7.0.10 ( upgrading soon to 7.3)
  • Current Number of Users: 200 ( assuming 5K in next 5 years)
  • Current Total Issues: 20K 
  • Projects: 14
  • Workflows: 41

What I need to know for DB capacity 

  1. OS file space
  2. SQL server DB file Space
  3. Page file (1.5 times the RAM)
  4. Temp DB ( in SSD)
  5. DB log file
  6. Application and misc files
  7. DB Backup
  8. CPU
  9. Memory

What I need to know for Web Capacity 

  1. OS file space
  2. SQL server DB file Space
  3. Application and misc files
  4. DB Backup
  5. CPU
  6. Memory

Thanks Nic,I did look at it but couldn't get much of the idea. I was kind of looking of formulas to calculate.

There aren't any formulae - what you need is a function of user numbers, configuration complexity, and patterns of usage.  You could technically come up with a formula for that, but it'll be horrendously complex and not actually tell you an amazing amount.

Re-read the doc and look at it alongside your italicised points (although I'd forget the workflows, the number of them is not that important compared with the rest)
