How do I support syntax highlighting for a new language in JIRA?

Yuvi Masory July 29, 2011

Confluence already supports Scala syntax highlighting in code blocks. In fact, there's even a plugin to improve that highlighting. However, I have yet to find a way to support Scala highlighting in code blocks in JIRA tickets. What's the best way to go about this? Much googling has only yielded FishEye/Confluence solutions.

The JIRA syntax highlighter plugin is capable of Scala highlighting in Wiki style rendered fields.

Currently I'm struggling with it, because it only creates a one-line code block, but it looks so promising, that -probably- worth the struggling.
