Policy overview and resources
Participation in the Atlassian Certification Program is subject to the Atlassian certification candidate agreement, the Code of Conduct, and policies & procedures described below.

When you become Atlassian credentialed, you join a group of skilled professionals who are recognized by Atlassian. Each time you launch an exam, you will be asked to agree to the candidate agreement and the following code of conduct:
I WILL
- Conduct myself professionally when acting in my credentialed role.
- Continue my efforts to gain knowledge and refine my skills in working with Atlassian apps and solutions.
I WILL NOT
- Cheat in any way on an Atlassian credential exam.
- Misrepresent myself as a credential holder when I have not completed or maintained the requirements for any Atlassian credential.
- Share content or knowledge that might compromise the integrity of any Atlassian credential.
Exam scoring
Scored and un-scored questions
- Exams may include un-scored questions that do not count toward the final score.
Score appeals
- Atlassian strives to keep exams relevant and up to date. Changes to the exam due to regular maintenance activity are not sufficient grounds for appeal.
- An appeal will only be considered when you have proof that an error on the exam resulted in a failing score.
- In general, Atlassian does not accept appeals regarding exam passing scores.
- If you fail an exam and would like to request an appeal, please raise a support ticket with our certification support desk within seven (7) business days of receiving your results. Appeals made AFTER seven (7) business days will not be considered.
Refunds and rescheduling
Atlassian defers to the refund and rescheduling guidelines of the exam delivery vendor (Certiverse). The following are in place as of March 2026:
- You must cancel or reschedule an exam at least 24 hours before your appointment to receive a refund.
- Canceling or rescheduling an appointment within 24 hours of the original appointment will result in forfeiture of the paid exam fee.
- Exam fees paid by credit card will be fully refunded if you cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment.
- You must reschedule online by logging into the Atlassian Certification Portal and signing in (with SSO) to the exam vendor portal where you originally booked your exam.
- Rescheduled appointments must fall within 60 days of your original appointment date.
Atlassian exam voucher use
Vouchers are not available for purchase. Atlassian occasionally issues vouchers to candidates on a case-by-case basis.
These policies apply to all Atlassian exam voucher holders:
- Each voucher has an expiration date and must be redeemed before it expires.
- Vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
Exam retake policy
You can retake an exam as follows:
- Practice exams: 3 attempts total (first attempt plus 2 retakes), 1 day in between
- ACH exams: 3 attempts total (first attempt plus 2 retakes), 5 days in between
- ACA exams: 4 attempts total (first attempt plus 3 retakes), 14 days in between
- ACP exams: 4 attempts total (first attempt plus 3 retakes), 14 days in between
When applicable, retakes are the same price as the original exam.
Exam results
You will receive your results in an email immediately after completing the exam. However, your status in the credential portal may take up to two days to update.
Contact the support team if you don't see your updated records in the credential portal after two days.
Restrictions on residents and nationals of export-restricted territories
In accordance with trade laws and regulations in the U.S. and other countries in which we operate, individuals residing in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea, Donetsk, or Luhansk regions of Ukraine are prohibited from testing with Atlassian. Accordingly, the following conditions apply:
- We cannot directly or indirectly accept payment from, nor directly or indirectly deliver exams to candidates residing in export-restricted territories.
- We cannot directly or indirectly accept payment from, nor directly or indirectly deliver exams to candidates who are nationals of export-restricted territories, wherever located.
- We cannot directly or indirectly accept payment from, nor directly or indirectly deliver exams to candidates who are on any U.S. Government export restricted or prohibited parties lists.
- If anyone registered for an exam presents the proctor with an ID from an export-restricted territory, the candidate will be turned away and forfeit the exam fee.
Maintaining your certifications
Your certifications are valid for two years (24 months). There are different ways to maintain your certification before it expires. Note that the renewal only applies to certifications; certificates are not renewable and are valid for one year (12 months).
