That is precisely where I was coming from on this @Anne Saunders . Too often, however, stating it explicitly frightens some humans off the nest. I am not sure why that is but the core of this boils down to foster empathy both directions and all the things are better. Perfect? No, but better or even just less bad is…

I see that as well, @Matt Doar . We can continue to work on fostering teaching by example. The benefits to both sides of that equation in our world are clear.

Thank you for your kind words, @myager . I always treasured our partnership and, as I noted in the article, it was a pleasure to build and evolve tooling for your teams and others there. This is my Way and I am glad it is appreciated.

Smart linking like that isn't really a Thing in Data Center. Not sure that it WON'T be but you definitely are hosted by that URL. Before I migrated my last shop to Cloud, the things you want to do could only be done IF there was a specific app for it. When I went Cloudy, it either did it natively or there were more and…

Hi @A_ Gorman First... you will not experience any page degradation. Stuff only gets better. However, you should have a quick look at the upgrade notes to see if there is anything you need to be aware of. This page has a comprehensive list of release notes going way back all the way to current which may be of some help.…

Hi @Peter Bentley You didn't cite whether you are using Jira Server/Data Center or Cloud. IF it is Cloud, there are some extensions to smart linking either in or coming soon that should help that quite a lot. If you are on Server/Data Center it won't so much. Since this appears to be Figma in question, this search shows…

That is exactly it, @Tanya Christensen and I hope we see more of it in our world.

In this case, @Paul Cooper , it was a human understanding the benefit of a common environment run for the common good. She got how much it helped her and that her project was linked with AP, HR, and she had her own service desk. I didn't have a leadership sponsor; I was largely self directed at that time. However, I'd been…

I am glad you liked it, @Taranjeet Singh

You hit the nail on the head, @Paul Cooper , If we try to square peg all the people, lots of them will be unhappy with their lot. I have implemented the toolset to where it had 100% penetration across the organization while maintaining rigorous governance. It was the combination of rolling common processes together where…

There are some stellar thoughts here. It would seem it all boils down to governance. This is a true enterprise class environment and needs to be treated as such. As soon as you do that, you start down the path to honest manageability and rigorous support of the enterprise while maintaining the measured method of supporting…

Thank you, @Elke Heinrichs @Anne Saunders , it would seem you are one of the true unicorn BA/Administrators that... gets it. You stated concisely the way this seriously comprehensive toolset can support an organization as a whole and the way to get there. That struggle of onboarding people from elsewhere is a Thing. So…

I am glad you liked it @Curt Holley and happy you are of the same mindset as I am. I suspect you aren't so much of a "splainer" as you are a teacher from what you say here. In this case, enthusiasm is a plus.

Glad to.

Short answer is yes by tweaking the mail handler. Longer answer is that you likely just want to let it keep doing that. Restricting that ability removes when you WANT an explicit attachment added to an issue. Some experimentation might get it a bit better but do be careful not do cut your nose off to spite your face.…

Hi @Randy O'Neal The first bit, reorganizing pages is available under "Space Settings" in the "Manage pages" section. The other bit you speak of is something that is just a bit of planning. I usually do that by having a root page that has the permissions for child pages under that. The permission hierarchy is such that a…
-
Hi @Paolo Belotti The problem will be in the permission scheme. There are two different but related permissions you need to have the project role, group, or other ways to allow the action to occur. First is the "Assign issues" permission that lets a user assign an issue to someone, even themselves. The OTHER one is…

Hi @Vamsi Divi Could you send along some screenshots for us to have a look at? I could be exceedingly off base but this sounds a LOT like someone responding to the email message Jira sends out. The email sent becomes a comment and, if there are busy signature blocks added... rando attachments may ensue.
-
Hmm... I will have to hope someone picks this up that has a system with this in to do that query. Note, however, that your admins would need only do that one task (and it does take mere minutes) and then provide you the search results link from the admin console. Good Luck

Glad I could help. This is a great tool and you can make a service desk for basically... all the things...

Hi @Chelsey Hill , First.... do check the user in admin... stranger things have happened and they might BE disabled. HOWEVER, assuming they aren't actually disabled, this feels like a browser thing. Have the user try in an incognito window on the new laptop. Also, if the browser has had an update downloaded but not applied…

I am not sure what you mean but... you don't actually have to do anything to make the approvals "special" on the portal. The approver(s) will get an email they can just click approve/deny from directly OR, if they to go your portal, they will have a "My Approvals" link added to their profile along with "My Requests". Once…

Hi @Петернев Антон I don't have the exact incantation right at hand but it seems the answer created by @Piotr Zadrożny _Eyzee_ might be your ticket. Mike

Hi @Ann Dunn I think the best approach is on @Kishan Sharma answer here. This is one I don't see come up all that often as SharePoint is kind of a step backwards in functionality and will add another source of truth vs. keeping all the things in one place. Regardless, I hope that post gets you going

Hi @Joe Bloggs , That one could take some work but I have always found that going to admin General Configuration > Macro Usage has given me enough information. You should see all the pages that have the draw.io macro used with that function. Hope this helps.

Hi @Asszonyi Zsuzsanna So... a couple of things. Because JSM is licensed differently, you can't actually "assign" someone without a JSM license and in the right role to an issue. HOWEVER, all is not lost if I am reading your question correctly. When you set up a given status in your workflow to be an "approval" status, you…

Brother @Jimmy Seddon would know. You just filled in the blank for the LDAP bit for me, @Dirk Ronsmans as I have mostly been in "AD is evil" shops who had gone the Okta Way.
-
Hi @Tom Lister . I am going to take a swipe at this and see if we can find the thing as I keep stubbing my toes on this one as well. AFIK you are only billed for active users. Also... if you have different domains you could put in the sweep that might help. This last is a "I dunno but maybe" and this is how I've been doing…

I look forward to seeing what comes in here, @Mandy Ross and may even feel the need to add some content of some sort. All the things you cite are bigger and bigger deals every day in every way.
-
Hi @Joe Keller , I can look at that for you but that may not be something you actually want as that would blunt one of the nice ways for users to interact with Jira. By default, if an email comes into Jira with an issue key in the subject line, it will turn the email into a comment in that issue. This can reduce user…
