@Jack Brickey I completely missed that, thanks for pointing that out! Confluence is like JSM and JSW a product and not an addon/app so you can choose who you give access/ a license.
-
Hi David, Point 1 is correct, if you add additional users they will count for the addon license. Point 2 on the other hand is not correct, you can give users a JWM license without giving them a JSM license, that way you only pay for JWM, and they will be able to use the JSM portal but not the JSM backend. So for marketing…

@Steen Klingenberg as far as i'm aware there is no way to set it by default, not on space, profile or global level.
-
Hi Steen, You can change this on the page on create on edit by clicking this button: Hope this helps, Laurens

Hey Muhammad and welcome to the community, I don't think this is possible, as far as i'm aware there isn't even a way to get that type of data through the rest api. You can get organization data but no site/product data. You can however get some data from marketplace apps:…

Hey Eduardo and welcome to the community, The features of team managed projects are limited. If you want to add resolve screens, resolutions, ... i'm afraid you will need to use company managed projects, those have more options. Hope this helps, Laurens

Hey Kevin, If the tags are correct, you are on server? If yes, there are insight post functions available on workflows to help you copy over custom fields to insight attributes. Using that in combination with a servicedesk portal where users can enter their data, you should be able to reach your goal of point 2. For point…

Hey Bill, Welcome to the community. Atlassian has some guides to help you upgrade, you can find more information here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/upgrading-jira-applications-938846936.html In terms of cloud migration you can also find some more info here:…

Hi, This is because the queues are based on resolution, not based on Status. So the closed tickets don't have a resolution set. Regards, Laurens

Hi Rishav and welcome to the community, I think you just need a workflow that has approval build in so that the manager can approve the request. You can find a lot of information about approvals and how to set it up here (for jira service management) :…

Woop Woop, finally! Big thanks!

1) You can add an attribute project of the type "project" to your product object type. 2) Then map the correct project to the product. 3) Then edit the custom field Product IQL to include project = currentProject() Step 1 and 2 is in insight on the object type and step 3 is in the custom field configuration

Hi Oleg and welcome to the community, 1) /opt/atlassian/jira/jre/lib/security/cacerts 2) /opt/atlassian/jira/logs /jirahomedirectory/log 3) If you use nginx, then jira is just running without ssl and nginx is doing the ssl handling. So normally, this shouldn't affect the jira instance 4) see 3 5) If you have backups, you…

Hi Paul, I'm afraid that this is not possible. There is an open issue for this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-4592 Regards, Laurens
-
Hi and welcome to the atlassian community, 1) Do the users you expected to disappear still have the AD listed next to their user in the column directory? If yes, and you are sure that they had to be removed, you can try to restart the server, this will clear the user cache. 2) Every user that is listed active in jira and…

Hey Suzanne, There are different marketplace apps that provide capabilities like this. Elements Copy & Sync Exalate Backbone issue sync ... Hope this helps, Laurens

Steve, I'm afraid this won't work with automation because of its limitations. You can't run groovy scripts or do a lookup on domain. I think the best way to do this would be to run a groovy script with scriptrunner on the create transition of the workflow that copies the values of the users email address from after the @…

Kelvin, I have used the installer on all my upgrades from 7.13 to 8.5 but bugs like you mention are the reason to test it in a test environment. It could always be that installer does not work for your environment, but i had zero issues so far and did quite some upgrades so far (on both linux and windows). Regards, Laurens

Andrew, Be patient, Atlassian knows the missing features and is working hard on fixing this. A lot of things weren't possible before because it was a third party app, now that it is part of atlassian, they can create a better integration and features, but this of course takes some time. Regards, Laurens
-
Tobias, Since Atlassian has purchased mindville and thus Insight, they are working very hard on integrating it in cloud. I have the same issues and concerns then you, but I'm confident that the feature set will expand in the upcoming months so i would be patient for now.

Hey Kristian, In my experience, when i use Project Configurator it preservers my CF ID's, so either i've been lucky so far, or i'm blind :D In terms of insight data, i believe you need to reconfigure the fields, and data preservation is hard as the CF will contain the insight key, and that key is not preserved when doing…
-
Marco, There are apps like project configurator or configuration manager that allows you to copy projects, including custom fields, WF's, ... that preserve the ID's. As you said, insight import doesn't keep the id's so scripts might need modification, be sure to also check the custom field configuration that has references…
-
Amgad, That really depends on how you want to implement it. You can just deploy a standard JSM project with standard config in a few minutes, set your permissions and off you go. If you want to change the request types, add fields, ... you will need to calculate some more time. Implementation doesn't only depend on the…

Kelvin, Q1: the application connect to each other through Application links. But Jira Service Desk, Jira Software and Jira Core are the same instance, there you can look under applications to see and upgrade them. (i upgrade Jira software through the installer, this includes jira core and then upgrade jira service desk…

Kelvin, I always use the installer to upgrade, even on linux. It works great, shows you the files that have been changed so you can do a back up of those and does most things automatically. You can find some info here:https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/upgrading-jira-installer-938846937.html Keep in mind that…

You're welcome. If this has helped you, you can always accept the answer on the top.

Channa, For this question i think we would go to deep to see why you would go for 4.0.0 Its not logic to me to go for the old version, as you will need to upgrade eventually and the latest version just has a lot more features build in. To answer, yes, you will need to upgrade Service Desk as well. So if you really want…
-
Channa, Your database is not supported, jira 8 supports until 9.6 Postgres 11 support is only from 8.7 So that might cause issues. I think its best to upgrade to the latest LTS release if possible. This means going to 8.5 and then to 8.13 Was this a fresh install?

Thanks for the logs. I believe you might already have found this troubleshooting article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/create-project-fails-with-unknown-error-in-jira-server-818580338.html So i searched a bit deeper and it seems to look like the same issue as this person…
