Thanks @Mykenna Cepek for the article. The work-around is nice, but I've voted for JRACLOUD-92796 hopefully Atlassian consider that.

Suspect this predates the change you refer to, but I found this backlog item about Confluence macros including last modified: CONFCLOUD-57916 Provide a macro to display version of a page and other page info
-
Update: This feature was implemented and rolled-out June 2024.

I think Shalini's answer is true for Data Center * The selection of apps is different. Default Values for Create Issue Screen might be a better fit for you. * Depending what version you are using it does support Automation.
-
I guess you mean bulk updates? To access that in the new UI * click the "..." button at the top right * select bulk change work items.
-
Not sure whether you are a Jira Administrator - assuming you are: * Go to the admin portal https://admin.atlassian.net * Login (if necessary) * Select your organization (if you have more than one) * Select Directory > Users
-
When will this be available? Agree with the other comments - users should be able to change the order of most or all types of items in the new nav: * Dashboards * Projects * Filters * Plans Maybe it should even be allowed for Apps?

I know this is an old post - but it continues to confuse some people. There are some suggestions in the backlog about this: * JRACLOUD-84332 The issue navigator search box doesn't search comments * JRACLOUD-85450 Include issue comments in "textfields" search * JRACLOUD-93748 Make "textfields~" JQL field to search for…

Sometime in 2024, Atlassian changed the search box behavior. This now generates a JQL query using textfields - where previously it used text. As noted by Charlie, this means it does not search in comments - which is confusing for users. There are some suggestions in the backlog about this: * JRACLOUD-84332 The issue…

Your experience might be a result of Atlassian's change to search: it now generates a JQL query using "textfields" instead of "text". This means it does not search in comments - which is confusing for users. There are multiple suggestions in the backlog about this: * JRACLOUD-84332 The issue navigator search box doesn't…

You don't mention when you what the validation to run, or the type of project you are using. A bit more context would help the community answer more directly. If you want the UI to validate custom fields when editing them - I don't think there is any existing Jira feature for that. But you could use Jira automation to do…
-
This has been discussed at some length here. A lot of users don't seem to care much about the change, probably based on how they use Jira/JSM. Some seem to like it, and others hate it. It's hard to know the breakdown. I'm not aware of any public user survey about this but Atlassian noted low opt-out rates during the EAP as…

Don't really want to speak for them, but Atlassian don't usually reply here. I understand they have focused on delivering function first, and then addressing Enterprise needs (like permissions/access control) later. * No not currently - but Atlassian are working on some of these you could follow in JAC:* ROVO-76 Limit via…

No - there is no built-in feature in Jira to do this. Neither could I find a marketplace apps to add this feature. If have a paid-plan you could make a product suggestion.
-
You can find more discussion about this change in the New Navigation Discussion Group. Specifically Atlassian's post about why they are continuing with the change despite complaints from customers.
-
There is a suggestion in the backlog about this you can vote for: JRACLOUD-93338 Add the Sprint details in the New Jira navigation layout for the Sprint This was one of the items listed in my post about the new Nav: Our feelings about the new nav
-
As the other posters have suggested you will need to contact Atlassian support for help if you want to reuse a previous instance/site name.

There are a two manual ways to do this in Jira. I assume you don't need an automatic solution... TL;DR We use Jira Releases and Fix Versions to track software changes, but have not found the Release Notes feature worth using for a number of reasons. YMMV. Defining a Release First you must define the release and link work…
-
I'm not entirely clear what you want to achieve - can you expand your question? What do you want to see... * open tickets created > 1 month ago * open tickets not updated for > 1 month * open tickets exceeding SLA by more than 1 month Perhaps the documentation on creating JQL queries for JSM would help:…

Based on feedback from my users - to a person they are content to struggle on with the new navigation (even though nobody thinks it is better) just because they know they will soon have no choice. After standup today one wondered if it would be worth returning to Jira Data Center to avoid the disruption of these changes.…

As a Jira + Confluence Admin, I regularly search for and follow JAC tickets before contacting Atlassian Support. Internally Atlassian must have a much clearer view of the rate of issues/suggestions and changes deployed - perhaps this data justifies Aditi's message. From an outside perspective the trend for JRACLOUD below…

To be honest this doesn't particularly excite. We've been using dashboards in Jira to visualise data for over 10 years. Early-on we accepted 3rd party apps were necessary to achieve what we wanted because Atlassian seemed to have given up improving the dashboard (before we started using it). Some things we want to…
-
I agree - the changes do not seem 'finished' enough to launch in the current time-scale.
-
Still coming to grips with this myself - I think... Timelines Do you mean Plans? * Open Left Nav * Click Plans Calendars These live in projects... For JSM Projects you'd go: * Open Left Nav * Click Projects * Click Views * Click Calendar* For other Jira Projects you'd go: * Open Left Nav * Click Projects * Click Board *…

Forgot to say - when you have the 'comparison data' in an issue field, you could use a dashboard widget to visualise the result. We use the Custom Charts App since this provides better features than the built-in widgets.
-
This is a variation of a previous question: Using comparison JQL between two fields No this is not supported. The workaround suggested is to use automation to do the comparison and store the result in another (custom) field.
-
Last week we spent some time exploring and found... * On Landscape displays the new horizontal Project Nav does not fit all the project items we use (but these fit in the old Project Nav - left sidebar). On a portrait display it aspect is much less usable than the old layout. * On a portrait display the new left sidebar…

Check out this issue in the backlog related to this: JRACLOUD-94150 New Navigation - Issue Status buttons are inconsistent and are hard to read

For those that are thinking of replacing Atlassian's new icons with their own custom icons, you might want to follow (and/or vote) for JRACLOUD-43512 Support for custom SVG avatars

No - as far as I know, boards do not have members. Are you using a Team-managed project (TMP) or a Company Managed (CMP) one? Projects have members. The project admins can go to Project > Settings > People but I don't think you need to be explicitly added to a CMP project to be assigned a task. e.g. you could be part of a…
