* Open or Limited* Anyone can view * Caveat being that they will at least need Contributor access to JPD as a product* This will automatically be the case for anyone licensed to Jira or JSM * If a user is not licensed to Jira or JSM, there is a contributors group for JPD they can be added to * Private* You'll need to set…

@Tanguy Crusson, curious if there's been any advancements in how to move JPD tickets between projects. I'm still finding myself unsure of the best method to utilize, so I'm hoping there's a more defined process at this point.
-
@michelle_bachmann, apparently the navigation to the all boards view is located within the search bar drop down. Shoutout to @Jeremiah Rappley for figuring out where this was located!
-
@michelle_bachmann , good question... I don't see any option to "View all boards". I would've thought this would be accessible from the "Your work" menu, since there is a tab for Boards, but it appears to be a one page listing of boards. I'm not even sure how it's determining which boards it's showing in the list to be…
-
@michelle_bachmann , you can create a new board within a project by clicking the little + icon that appears to the right of the project name within the side navigation.

In my experience so far, it's been the best to just add "Discovery" on the end of any JPD project. Similarly, I'll just add a "D" to the end of the project key. In most cases for us there is an associated Jira project that aligns with the project naming convention. Sounds like I do it the same way you've indicated you're…

If that's the case, I think that's bad design on Atlassian's part. There should be consistency in the presented/available data. As an admin, I would expect to see the same, if not more granularized, data. Why have a "Last used" time displayed in the admin console? Just display the "Last accessed" time, especially if that's…
-
Thanks for responding @ELFAPP Technologies. "'Last accessed' provides the exact timestamp of the most recent API activity, while 'Last used' gives a relative time reference without specifying the precise moment. In short, 'Last accessed' records the actual timestamp, whereas 'Last used' offers an approximate timeframe." I…

In JPD, the create dialog is based on the fields present within a specified "View". In order to customize the create dialog how you want, you would need to create a view containing the specific field you want presented on it. The "Form preview", as you pointed out, is not editable. The fields will be presented on the…

Yes, but it also depends on the JPD projects access setting. * Open or Limited* Anyone can view * Private* You'll need to set the group or user into the "Contributor" role within the project Additionally, you don't even need a Jira license. There is a "contributors" group for JPD that you can add anyone with an Atlassian…

Sorry for the delayed response. The "Creator" role still exists within the projects. It's just that with the free plan any JPD licensed user is automatically going to be in the "Creator" role within all JPD projects. So technically, on the free plan, you don't need to set roles within the projects other than…
-
If the project access is: * "Open", everyone will have access to the project and anyone with a JPD license will be able to act as a "Creator" within the project * "Limited", everyone will have access to the project, however only those that you specifically designate to the "Creator" role will have the ability to act as…

Hmmm... For me, it shows within an Ideas panel on the Jira ticket, like this: and within the Delivery panel on the JPD Idea ticket, like this:
-
Your linked issue, URPR-9 is linked using the "relates to" link. It would need to be linked using the "is implemented by" link. In the automation rule you have that is creating the "delivery" ticket within the Jira project, you can add the "Link issues" component like this: NOTE: I'm assuming the trigger for the automation…
-
In your automation rule, when creating the ticket within the Jira ticket, you can link it to the Idea ticket within the JPD project using the "Polaris issue link" link type. From the Jira ticket, the linking would be "is implemented by".
-
FYI, I asked this same question here.
-
It's because Atlassian aligned the JPD free plan with the rest of Jira. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/JPD-Free-plan-Project-access-level-changes/ba-p/2840795 This documentation outlines this at the top:…

Like others have said, the only option is to "move" the existing issues to another issue type, then you can delete the issue type you don't want from the issue type scheme associated with the project. You could use a validator, however I wasn't a fan of this option because the issue type still appears in the list in the…

You are using the old navigation. I can tell because the new navigation doesn't show the project type at the bottom, in the left hand navigation pane anymore. You have to click the ellipses (...) next to the project name to see the project type in the new navigation.
-
@Tinker Fadoua, you say you have the new navigation enabled within your "Jira labs" section, but in the screen capture you shared earlier that was not the new navigation. Can you share a screen capture of you seeing the "Archived issues" option within the new navigation? I shared screen captures of what my horizontal…
-
FLY EAGLES FLY!!!!!!!
-
@Michael Letcher, yes, still having the issue. I do not see the "Archived issues" option within the horizontal bar.
-
Here's what I see in one of my Team-managed projects: Your second screen capture is using the old navigation.
-
Company-managed. I haven't checked any Team-managed projects, but my guess is that they would have the same issue. Just confirmed, by reverting to the old nav, the "Archived issues" option is missing for Team-managed projects within the new nav as well.
-
Posting here for more visibility. @Varsha Patel, is the "Archived Issues" view missing in the new navigation UI or am I just overlooking it??? https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/View-Archived-Issues-in-new-navigation/qaq-p/2932354#M1100403

I appreciate the workaround, but I definitely think this is functionality that Atlassian should implement by default. It would also be helpful if there was a specific permission for linking Ideas to control who is allowed to perform this action. To me, even though it is just an issue link, it's a bit more than that since…
-
@Michael Mackuliak, coincidentally I just recently asked the same question. One of the responses from Atlassian indicates they are aware that this is not possible and are investigating a potential solution. Fingers crossed!
-
I second what both @Rick van Twillert _TMC_ and @Trudy P Claspill mentioned. It's very annoying that the sidebar does not update with a newly opened project. It would also be helpful if the "Recents" section showed more than the last 5 items. Maybe this could be configurable? I also find it more difficult to jump around…

Not that everything you list would be addressed by JPD offering the ability to create company-managed style projects, but I think many of them could be. I would suggest voicing these improvement suggestions to Atlassian directly. Atlassian indicated that they were exploring implementing company-managed style JPD projects…
