Thanks @Jet! Appreciate the response.

Shared configurations via the ability to create company-managed versions of JPD projects would satisfy this. Share that interest with Atlassian! https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery/JPD-implementation-across-multiple-customers/m-p/2911369#M2523

Sharing this here so anyone interested in company-managed JPD projects can share that interest with Atlassian! https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery/JPD-implementation-across-multiple-customers/m-p/2911369#M2523

JPD doesn't currently provide it's own intake mechanism. The workaround would be to utilize JSM to do this. Here's a post detailing how to configure it: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Product-Discovery-articles/How-to-Creating-an-idea-intake-process-with-JPD-and-JSM/ba-p/2777882.

Oh, I would've thought that as a Contributor you could do searches and find JPD issues associated with projects you are able to access (since you can view them within the project). Based on that, I was thinking you should be able to find those same JPD issues and link them from the development (Jira Software project)…
-
In my case, yes, a creator can link the issue. The Contributors cannot. So in order to allow someone to just be able to link, then they need to be licensed to JPD and made a Creator within the project. Linking should not require a JPD license (in my humble opinion).
-
The users in question are in a role that has the "Linked Issues" permission within the development projects. When they attempt to link to an Idea from a JPD project, the Ideas don't show up in the list. Even if they type the Idea key, they are not able to add the link.

This is awesome news! Filling out the form now. If you need testers (if it gets to that point), I would certainly love to help!

4th place checking in!

@Varsha Patel, we've begun using the new navigation in our production instance. It's really great, but there are 2 things I'm not a fan of: * When I select "View all projects" and select a project, it opens in the main window, but the project doesn't appear in the "Recent" area until I do a refresh of my browser* This is…
-
@Lars, the "Creator" & "Contributor" roles are specific to Jira Product Discovery projects. In a discovery project, in order for a user to be assigned to an idea, they would first need to be licensed to Jira Product Discovery and then also be placed into the "Creator" role within the JPD project in question. You mention…

Our biggest issue with this is that Atlassian Guard charges for billable users. If a managed account, that is not licensed to any products, decides to create a Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc. site on their own, suddenly they become a billable user. Without being on an Enterprise plan for each product, there is no way to…

@Susan Waldrip , that 1st screen capture doesn't look like the new or old workflow editors within Jira. Regardless of JSM or Jira, the workflow editor looks the same (JPD only uses the new workflow editor). Can you provide a bit more context on where exactly you are seeing that editor you are showing in the 1st screen…

The utilization of a JSM project is the best route. It gives users a form to complete, so it can be made "user friendly". You can also utilize the ticket generated within the JSM project to communicate updates made on the linked Idea ticket back to the person who created the idea (and even any participants they may have…
-
@AKAKPO Kassegnin, you mentioned Jira Service Management, so I assume you are asking about boards within that project type. JSM only allows for a single board to be defined within a project. Unfortunately, currently, you can't have multiple boards in a JSM style project.…

@Fun Man Andy, hey! Identifying myself as the person who came in 2nd!

@Varsha Patel, the demos are great, but I didn't see anything regarding how the Jira settings menus (System, Products, Projects, Issues, & Apps) will look. I imagine these will have an updated look and feel as well? Can you provide a video showcasing what those screens will look like?
-
Ah, ok. I figured this might be a bit to much for native JQL. We don't have ScriptRunner, but I wonder if there are functions available in that app that would allow for more granular, specific searches such as this. Thanks for the input!
-
@John Funk, apps definitely have their place, but, in my opinion, a feature like "field level security" should not require having to pay an additional fee because Atlassian has a shortcoming. Something like this should be built into Jira. I'm just voicing a bit of frustration because I feel like the answer is always…
-
Oh, yeah, I guess bulk updating is still the workaround to this method. Damn, nefarious users! : ) I agree that it would be helpful to have a true concept of "read-only" for individual fields, with the ability to specify users who should be able to.
-
"Would be awesome to be able to natively be able to lock down the ability to change field values..." @Dave LIAO, by this do you mean to lock the field contexts so the options contained within a field are not able to be changed or do you mean to make a field read-only. Because you can do the later by placing the field on…

I figured it out about the content statuses. I was conflating Page status & Content Status. The content statuses used by this app are separate and appear inline with the page stats just under the title of the page. I'm still unsure about the job schedules and how they are configured.
-
@Levente Szabo _Midori_, I'm definitely realizing that Confluence on it's own just doesn't provide any legitimate ways to be maintained (which is kind of sad...). I started looking into the Better Content Archiving and Analytics app that you suggested and it seems to align perfectly with our use case. Before I attempt to…

What is the project access set to? Depending on the project access configuration, you may need to place the users into the specific roles within the project. How are the users you are expecting to be able to create ideas licensed? * Are they licensed to JPD?* If so, they can be added into any role within the project,…

Notifications for what? Are you referring to when you are @ mentioned?

@Hermance NDounga, the downside, in our case, is that the Jira admins are Atlassian admins and are supporting all of the Atlassian products we utilize throughout our company, so having them also manage the intricacies of specific project administration that could (in Company-managed projects) be delegated is asking a lot…

Hello @Andy Gladstone! Identifying myself as #3. I thought I had placed 4th, but I see we had non-qualifying player playing!

@Tanguy Crusson, thanks for the response. Is there a demo video available that shows how the cross-project views look/work? This is the feature we're most interested in and would definitely like to see.
-
@Tanguy Crusson , you said "we're working on the ability to create views with ideas from multiple projects (cross-project views).". Just confirming, does that mean this feature is not yet available in the Premium version of JPD? If that's the case, do you have a timeline for it's availability? We currently have the…
