@Bridget To enhance my cloning automation, by adding 'attachments' to a newly created task. After digging things for a while, I've found - it's impossible for CLOUD. Every request is like a quest with an unknown outcome, I find that fascinating ;)
-
Fascinating.

Thanks!

@Guilhem Dupuya final question! Before that, i've created a single project and then used it as a template to create 2 more. Now, if i re-create one, can i use this data to apply new settings to existing projects? Ok, we cant Edit, but can we Replace whole thing? Its not quite simple as you might think, because of…
-
@Mateusz Daleki _Codedoers_perfect, thanks!
-
@Guilhem Dupuy I was afraid of that answer haha! Had hoped that there is a way to make that change. The problem is step 1. its quite ... a lot of work to recreate and set up everything again. JSM team really should make the Request form editable so I could select different issue types and then individually solve issue…

@Ajay _view26_ So your suggestion is during a call ask the client: 1. Please go to your portal 2. In the top left corner open your organization requests 3. There search for a ticket with the name "ABC" and open it Now we are on the same page. Instead of just dropping a link?
-
Yea, managed to hide one, but moments later I've added https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211596/whos-looking-for-jira-cloud and same problem and no options to disable. What if I'll add 15 more apps? =)
-
Thanks, that solved the issue with your app, but I've added a new app and the same problem, not everyone has such an option as yours.
-
@Angélica Luz The workaround is not quite elegant as your usual suggestions but the answer is clear. Thanks!
-
Actually, i can Disable (not in a Screen field) field yet collect data to that field via Transition: screen and then populate value to another issue (we have a special sub-task for estimation). But that's a last resort, for now, i just did a 'Hide when empty' to remove it from sight.
-
Old habits =)
-
@Brant SchroederThanks for the answer, at this moment i came to use Parent task as original Estimate and treat that value as feature 'budget'. After that, by using some crazy Automation, we control this budget and track time inside sub-tasks where the actual work is done. We'll see how it goes before moving into more…
-
@Sebastian BrudzińskiThanks! I need time to check it but looks promising.
-
@Mykenna CepekThanks for your answers, I've been trying NULL and 0 but i gave me incorrect results, so after trial and error i came to 'empty'. Like i said, it's ideal, but we need something to start (We 10 days ago came from a Trello). As for tasks, it can be quite big items 20-300 hours of work, sometimes made by…
-
Small Update, ELSE need some adjustments otherwise it will keep editing Parent's original estimate every time you change Sub's remaining estimate or wont reserve budget on a first Sub's estimation.
-
@Mykenna CepekHello! IF rule {{FieldChange.field}} equals timeestimate helps to exclude 'Remaining time' changes in a sub-task. Also Now i can use my creepy formula [Current parent] - [new sub] + [old sub] where: * Current parent is {{issue.fields.timetracking.originalEstimateSeconds}} * New sub is…
-
Hey, they mostly log it on automatically via IDE, they can forget to move task, but log time is not an issue.
-
Thanks guys, you both are correct! Problem solved
-
Sorted on my own. First of all, if you want to edit layout for each issue type individually you need to make unique Issue Screen Scheme and view screen for each issue type. (you can copy/clone them, but names should be unique!) In case someone will look for a solution or how you cant do that. Steps to reproduce: * Create…

@Jack Brickey How to achieve issue layouts similar to what i did in JSD?
-
@Daniel Eberswell, that's just one way, or attempt to solve the puzzle. But i wanted to hear how people solved similar issues, not vertical status move, but reduction of development stages while maintaining clear visibility for all team members on 'what's going on. It will work just like on a picture in my original post,…
-
@Daniel Ebersif you move a card within 1 column up and down, you cant change it's status, only it's order in a list. Ravi suggestion was to add 2 statuses to a single column. If you move CT-8, CT-6 or CT-10 with a status 'Ready for testing' lower in a column 'In review' (where they currently are) it wont change their…
-
@Angélica LuzThank you very much! Modified the script to [{{issue.price}}] {{issue.summary.substringAfter("]")}} [{{issue.price}}] {{issue.summary}} For better clients' visibility and more flexibility in regards of a currency. I've learned a lot from this case, how to use logic conditions and partial field editing. Thank…
-
Hey @Ravi Sagar _Sparxsys_ If i understood you correctly, unfortunately that doesn't work because of 2 things: 1. You cant determine which out of those 3 tasks are in which stage, unless you add extra information about status directly to the card (which makes card bigger and not quite visible). 2. Most important, you can…
-
Thanks for the reply, yea, now i added to every non-Done status a post-function to clear the resolution from 'done'.
-
Thanks! I've created a post-function for done to set as done and for all other statuses clearing that. Not sure why i get broken through, but now i know how to fix it.
-
You are awesome Angélica, Works perfectly! BTW is there a way to limit that rule to run only once or update Summary and a description upon second use? Season i'm asking, if agent makes a typo, then script runs again and add more data: Testing automation + $40000 + $4000 ... + more with any touch of the {{field.price}}

Ehh... so next-gen is just a very basic project tracking tool with minimum customization setting? I thought 'next-gen' is something new, like new UI and classic will be obsolete after some time. So in order to pass info from Jira Service Management tickets to Jira software i need: 1. create a classic project in Jira…

Hey Daniel, thanks for the reply. I followed the guide from your first link and at "How project administrators manage issue type schemes" Step 2. struggled to find Actions and Schemes. (see pic) I collect data at Service Desk by using custom fields (see pic) and i need to pass collected data to my dev team in Jira.
