Even if I hadn't gotten free all-access as a community leader, I would have paid for it, because there's no way I can watch everything I want to see in 3 days! I think the ones I'm most interested in are the DevOps ones, since our teams are just starting to look at CI/CD.

Oh, I do miss swag! At my first Summit in San Jose, I ended up schlepping all of my swag to UPS and shipping it home because I wasn't expecting so much and didn't have a big enough bag. I had to be pickier in Barcelona about what to grab since I wasn't going to pay international shipping! The only virtual swag I've gotten…

Thanks for this summary! I'm definitely looking forward to the automation and data-driven decisions sessions.

Anything's possible, but I haven't heard anything.
-
Thanks, @carolyn french It's The Sharon Show by Casapinka, a long (7 feet!) rectangular shawl/scarf.

Counting this year, it will be 4. San Jose and Barcelona in person, plus last year and this year virtual. I found my first one in San Jose to be very overwhelming, but learned a ton. I loved Barcelona; I reminded myself that I didn't have to go to all of the sessions; just the ones that would be the most helpful. And…

Thanks, Claire! That's really good news. We have Core, but don't use it much because it doesn't really offer anything that can't be done with a standard SW project. But the new views are going to be super helpful. Fingers crossed that perhaps some of the views (calendar, especially) will eventually be available in SW…

I really like that quote! It sounds like a Dr. Seuss-ism.
-
I think everyone is seeing just their own quote when they log in; I haven't seen it scrolling through or showing other quotes when I refresh. I do like seeing what other people chose, so thanks for starting this topic.

Jira Product Discovery is an alpha product, and Compass isn't even that far, so I don't know that there will be any sessions discussing them at Team 21. This session is about Work Management and this one is on Team Central, the only two Point A products that are in beta.

Yes, this would have been my first year as part of the Community Leader program, and I would have loved to meet everyone I see on Slack in person! Fingers crossed for 2022!

Hi, everyone! Some of you know me already, some don't. I'm Esther. * Where you're from: I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, and aside from college, have never lived more than 30 miles from the southern shore of Lake Michigan. I currently live on the very north edge of the city. * Where you work: I'm the process…

Wow! That whale balloon is amazing! I've always wanted to take a balloon ride; the closest I've come is the Aerophile balloon at Disney World. It was fun, but tethered, and honestly the view of Orlando at night isn't really all that interesting 🥱.

I also remember Betamax and not having the ability to record TV. I also remember Circus of the Stars, "very special episodes" of after-school specials, not having a microwave oven, having only one phone in the house, etc. I was talking to my considerably-younger sister the other day, and she doesn't remember when our TVs…

Assuming by "portal" you mean that Onboarding is a separate Jira Service Management project from your other projects. If that's true, then if they went to the main-level home (https://<your instance>.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals) they wouldn't even see the Onboarding project as an option if they don't have…
-
@Claire Maynard is Jira Work Management a replacement for Jira Core? Or a separate product?
-
Hi, Ben. You can set permissions on separate service desk/service management projects differently, which would prevent customers from viewing one of them, but you can't hide a specific request type from specific users if the Onboarding request type is in the same project as the other requests that your external customers…

Does your Atlassian instance use SSO (do you get taken to a company login page and then back to Atlassian)? We've found that Microsoft browsers (Internet Explorer and Edge) have issues with the Atlassian/SSO setup resulting in that error; using Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or any other non-MS browser works.

Hi, @Usman Khan - welcome to the Community! I'd suggest you submit a support ticket to Atlassian if you don't have another org admin with access to the accounts. https://support.atlassian.com/contact/

Oh, it was! I wish I had spent more time there; I stayed near the conference center so I could walk to the sessions, but it was out on the edges of the city in a pretty new neighborhood. I'd love to go back and spend more time in the more historical areas. And isn't their airport amazing? I haven't traveled extensively,…

So yes; if you create a new group and add it to the existing permission scheme that's attached to 20 projects, the access will be granted to all 20 projects. There are two ways you can deal with this. First option: create a new permission scheme for this project (you can copy the existing one) and update the browse…

Hi, @jim fairman welcome to the Community! Unfortunately there's no option to display fields added via the Card Layout settings on the same line as the native fields. However, if priority and assignee are the important ones, those are already displayed natively as icons, so you don't necessarily need to display them as…

Hi, @Daniel Ruiz - welcome to the community! The first thing to check is the Browse Projects permission. Go to Project Settings, then Permissions, in your project. Then look for Browse Projects: Depending on the permission scheme your project is using, you may be able to just add the user to a project role, or you may need…

I've only been to two Summits (San Jose 2017, Barcelona 2018), so I don't know if I'd call it a tradition. But since both were cities I'd not been to before, every day I got up early - and I'm NOT a morning person! - to walk around the city before things got busy.
-
Wow! That's amazing. I know you didn't invite me, but I'd be up for a road trip if 2022 is in-person.

Is this the Segway pic that became a meme?
-
I'm curious to know if there's any estimation on when we could expect to see the integration; we actually have an open request with our finance team right now to fund the add-on.

I was lucky enough to visit Venice in high school (another choral festival!), but didn't get around to a gondola ride. Still on my list of things to do. We did ride a water taxi, which seemed cool then.

@Mandy Ross if I were ever to try socks again, this is the pattern I'd use. There are two basic methods - toe-up and cuff-down. I've always done cuff-down, but I think that's what contributes to the boredom. With toe-up, if you get bored, you can call them finished as soon as you get past the heel; you'll have a perfectly…

@WW I'd be there for that! Several of my Rav communities have recently started using Discord; we could easily set up a chat server there! ETA: or, duh! A group right here on Community for crafters...
