Howdy @Chris Goodwin - x2256 , The email address you mentioned was cleared off the suppression list at 2024-03-22T16:50:23.000Z - looks like our mail service has tracked two successful deliveries and one successful email open since then. Cheers, Daniel | Atlassian Team

Hi @Venkatesh Prasad , welcome to the Community! At the moment, Automation still requires the Legacy webhook app for channel overrides. I understand in some cases, Slack workspace admins are disabling the legacy webhook app. It's possible to put the webhook URL in from a custom App, but the channel override box in the Send…

Hi @Dave Beaudoin , Just validating your experience here. The channel/user override in the Automation for Jira configuration does require use of the Legacy Slack Webhook app. Using a webhook URL from a new custom Slack App won't work in A4J - it will lock messages to whatever channel that webhook was configured for in the…

Howdy @dxiong , Links in Slack use the app surface formatting . Links are formatted in <URL | Link text> syntax. A link in the format you're after would use this code in the Message section: <{{issue.toUrl}}|{{issue.reporter.displayName}}> has commented on {{issue.key}} As a bonus, I like using this link format in Slack…

Yep that's more or less exactly what needs to be done right now. We've got a script you can use here: Mention someone directly in Slack via Jira Automation (Atlassian Community Article)

Yes, the variables are single-line only. Without seeing the full details of what you're trying to populate, my suggestion would be to try and refactor the rule so that the actions where the multi-line fields might be used can be iterated over. Whatever might be going into the variable, try to do it in the email/issue…

Howdy @Dave Furlani , The trick may be to actually use line breaks in the lookupIssues loop. Here's an example of a list populating from the lookup results. Granted it also formats as links, but it should work the same with non-linked text: These issues match the JQL subscription: {{#lookupIssues}} • <{{url}}|*{{key}}*…

Hi @Maciej Cielec , welcome to the Community! The body of Slack messages in Automation rules uses Slack's app surface formatting. For links to public channels , it will use the ID. This is separate from the channel name - click through for instructions on Slack if this isn't what's already in your custom field. The example…

Hey @Alexey , Have you considered adding your domain as the sender for outgoing mail? Documentation here: Add custom email addresses for product notifications By adding the DMARC records for your domain, the email servers for your customers will check be less likely to reject the emails if your domain is also trusted.

Hi @Philip Laskowski , My team is responsible for some of the pieces that go together to get your support request to an engineer in your timezone. Thanks for noting that something is amiss. I'll be opening a support case momentarily specifically for this, so you will get an email from our support system shortly with…

Very late in seeing this, but the smart values were not correct for the lookup list. I edited the answer above, but here is the relevant portion that needed to be updated in the Slack body: {{#lookupIssues}} • <{{url}}|*{{key}}* {{summary}}> {{/}}

Hi @Joshua Dickerson , With minimal change to the filter, you could have that email go into a Slack channel using the feature in Slack that lets you receive emails . That would be poorly formatted though - we do have a better option! With Jira Automation, you can set up a rule that runs on a Scheduled trigger as often as…
-
Howdy @Ashutosh Palania , welcome to the Community! I'll explain an automation rule that can do this in loose terms, without prototyping it out and taking screenshots along the way. This will be yours to implement, and I'll be here to answer follow-up questions if you get stuck. Rule Trigger The most straightforward…

Howdy @Rakhesh Mohan , The abbreviate function should help here. This is an example of your comment section with the abbreviate function trimming it to 150 characters: *_Comment details_* :speech_balloon: `{{comment.body.abbreviate(150)}}` If the comment is longer than the 150 characters, the function will add '...' at the…
-
Howdy @Rakhesh Mohan , and welcome to the Community! Switching the rule to use a Lookup Issues action will populate an array of issues that you can reference from the Send Slack Message action. I would suggest a rule like this: When: Scheduled (probably one time a day on weekdays?) Action: Lookup Issues You've probably got…
-
Hi @Michał stożek , By quoting someone, do you mean the feature that converts their name into a format that looks like "@userhandle" and sends a notification to their Slack client? If so, you will need to sync the Slack user handles with Jira in order for Automation to know what the assignee's Slack ID is. This…

The project integration makes it possible for issue keys (i.e. ABC-123) to trigger an unfurl. A full URL will always trigger an unfurl (it does not matter if the project is not yet integrated), unless you disable unfurls for the user or channel with the /jira unfurl command.
-
Hi @Sunil K Jonwal , welcome to the Community! Unfurls can be managed with the /jira unfurl command on a channel-by-channel basis. You can also mute them for any URLs or issue keys sent by you. Just send /jira unfurl in the channel you want to modify the unfurl behavior for and the app will let you know the current…

Hi @William Wilson , The last sentence in your original comment reads: I will be looking elsewhere when doing our roadmap planning. Given the context of the follow-up comment, I can see that I misread the intent as "looking for help with roadmap planning features" when instead it was "I would like to migrate off Confluence…
-
Hi @William Wilson , You mentioned roadmap planning - I want to make sure you're aware that you can create multiple issues at once from a table in Confluence. This is significantly faster than manually entering issues one-at-a-time in a collector or directly in Jira. No add-ons or additional sites required. This is a…
-
Howdy @Daria Pavlova , Looks like there's a couple things going on here. You've got a lookup list, are trying to generate a URL using Slack syntax, and use a smart value for the assignee. Based on these factors, I think this matches your intent: {{#lookupIssues}} *<{{url}}|{{key}} - {{Summary}}>: {{assignee.displayName}}…

Great, thank you for the additional detail. I was able to find it on the licensing request page as well after filling out some details and selecting Access as the product being requested. I've reached out to our Customer Advocate team for assistance since there seems to be some mismatch. Will keep you updated!

Hi @Raphaël NORYNBERG , Despite the deprecation warning, that is indeed the app to use for sending messages to Slack from Jira Automation. We've got an internal issue tracking the deprecation notice. Currently there's no public issue on jira.atlassian.com to follow along with for progress - checking with our product team…

Hi @vgknsf , I'm unaware of a change in discounts for Atlassian Access, as you mentioned there is public documentation stating it is free for qualifying nonprofits: * Community license request form Atlassian’s Community offerings include free self-managed Data Center licensing or cloud subscriptions at 75% off list price.…

Howdy @[deleted] , This is possible with Jira's Automation. The list of issues can be sent to a channel, or a DM as you are looking for! Have a peek at this Community article explaining how to set up a scheduled Automation run to send issues to Slack. Cheers, Daniel | Atlassian Team
-
Hey @Nick Worth , welcome to the Community! Since your goal here is cutting down emails, I might suggest using the /jira notify command in Slack. This will have the Jira Cloud for Slack app DM you with notifications (vs going to a channel) and gives you some different configuration options: and most importantly,…

Great summary! This one has been on the to-read pile for a while. It's been a while since I've had time for leadership books, but I've definitely had time for some podcasts while running errands. Thanks to @Christine P. Dela Rosa 's great recommendation of the Starfleet Leadership Academy podcast , that's my current…

Hey @Samy Nedelchev , welcome to the Community. Sorry to hear you're having some trouble getting into your Jira instance. A couple thoughts based on your posting: * Are you able to screenshot the Windows Service window (blurring out any details specific to your company)? If you've had a look at the Restore Password to…

Hi @Gerben Wierda ! It sounds like you may be looking at exporting a single page (via the '...' menu in the upper right). For moving pages from one site to another, you'll actually want to export the whole space to XML. You can do this from the Space Settings menu on the left navigation bar: Once you're in Space Settings,…
