@stanleye87 I think you should focus on anything user related to start with. I don't want to discourage you from learning more about the tools but you won't be able to "experiment" (try things out) with it without having admin permissions. That said, if you are working for a small company then you might be able to talk to…

@Sarah Wright I guess I didn't understand the question. I was referring to the fact that the user would need to have edit permission in the project to edit the Epic or Task or whatever issue type you have in that project. That said I believe that one of your users in Project S would be able to link a story to an Epic in…
-
Good morning @Sarah Wright, the needed permissions won't change. There was a recent update sent out about the migration which I'll need to find for all the latest info. on how long Epic links will remain, etc.
-
Good Day @Rilwan Ahmed Thank you for the reply. I would be quite happy if it were true but unfortunately, it seems that people without admin permissions using a public link are actually able to see the settings gear and access some of the choices but are unable to go any further.
-
@Dennis Barel I feel your pain. 😞 Unfortunately there is no way to edit the name even as a site admin. There are two things you can do to get this fixed. One is to raise a support ticket as described in this post: Renaming Workspace Scroll down to the post by @Andrew Hammond to get the link to the support team. The other…

@Chad Parker you'll have to play around with it to get it to display correctly. Unfortunately, your image doesn't show what your settings for the chart are. They don't display if I click on the image. I do believe it is dependent upon how the table is set up as in having the correct data in the correct place. The first…

I realize I am late to the game on this post but I had an issue where one of my users couldn't @mention anybody. It turns out he had been removed from the default Jira-users-group and the group he was in didn't have the global Browse permission. I had tried adding him as a single user to the project permissions to no avail…

I realize this is an old post but I'll add to it anyway. So in the cloud just type the issue key and then a space and it will convert to the link immediately.

It sure would be nice if it worked as advertised. Try wrapping text when you have a numbered outline. It doesn't work Atlassian. Stop doing stupid Team conferences and actually do some useful coding to fix all the crap that doesn't work as advertised. And no, I don't want an add-in to fix it. I heard one of the founders…
-
I just learned about using the computer's emojis when editing but there was no explanation of how you add an image to the emoji list.
-
I don't know what version of COnfluence Lenin is using but I can not make this work with a numbered outline. Somebody that runs the Confluence team needs to stop allowing them to put out vaporware. 🤬🤬 Rant over.

Well @Walter Buggenhout thank you for the quick response. I knew where the project settings were accessed but I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the subtask. My project is a team-managed type and I was able to find the ... for the Epic only. I thought I would then get the choice again for Task or possibly Sub-task but…

@Joseph Chung Yin and @Sam Nadarajan thank you both for replying so quickly. I have solved the problem with the same solution proposed by Sam. It turns out I was trying to reuse a Svc. project created in my previous instance and it just wasn't going to play well. I ended up creating a new project and all is right with the…
-
@John Phillipp Esguerra I think the only way to make it work is to copy a page from another space to the guest space. I do not know if inserting content via labels or a page itself will work but you could certainly try it.
-
@Collista Lewingdon not working with a school district but I can certainly sympathize with you on your situation. Are you looking for some advice on what to do or where to start? I think your situation is universal to site and org admins everywhere regardless of the environment. Anyway, just ask if you can't find it in the…
-
@Jan-Hendrik Spieth I will investigate your theory. I've gotten so busy with everything other than my admin work except for emergency fixes that I had forgotten to try the other suggestions below as well. I will get to this and let everybody know what I find out that solves it.
-
@davesoft11 Whew! that is a lot to cover. If you mean to live without the ability to create sub-jira, hopefully you get that that is not plausible :-) I'm open to input. But we use subjira to break down an atomic deliverable into specific action items. Those action items can be developed by separate staff and may involve…
-
@davesoft11 I get the issue with sub tasks being a problem. We made it a rule that all tasks are tasks in SCRUM teams. You can force that issue by removing sub-tasks from the project. Secondly, you could "enforce" the SCRUM artifact of delivering a working increment. If it isn't finished it should go back to the scrum…

@Dennis Barel I apologize for not catching that you posted this in the Atlas Group. That said, I suspect you are just getting started here. Can you tell me what other Atlassian products you are using and if you are the organization and Site admin.? I suspect that if you have admin priveledges you accidentally used the…

@chris.grom you probably would want to subscribe to this Confluence Cloud Admins.

I was more disappointed to find out that the import from One Drive choice was nothing more than just a different button for Word imports. I was hoping for .pdf at the least. So, I'm guessing for those users complaining about the loss of the splitting feature you will all have to go out and buy (wait for?) an add-on.

@Dennis Barel you'll need to go to System Settings. Under General settings is the Title at the top of the page. I believe that is what you are referring to as the Workspace name. Use the Edit button at the upper right of the page to change it.
-
@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- I think there is a distinct possibility this could be true. As I am reading this I realized I might be able to find the mysterious user in the audit logs. Are you able to shed any light on the format of the user code? It looks to me like other user ids I have that are outside of our domain although…
-
@Bill Sheboy I am the site and org admin. That's what makes this such a weird issue. Can't locate the user in the export list. Atlassian is my next stop. I was hoping for someone in the community to point me to a decoder ring somewhere. That said if they can explain it I'll post an update.
-
@Bill Sheboy the section of the rule that is failing is below. I am really more concerned about the user id and its format. Plus it is always the same id that fails in my original post. I can't determine who the person is that the automation rule is trying to assign the ticket to.
-
OK all, here's the deal. @Karoline Rezende Ramos I'm going to have to throw this one to @Jack Brickey as it was necessary to get rid of the "duplicate" system Epic link as opposed to trying to force it with field IDs. The weird part is they didn't have a definitive answer as to how I got into this predicament in the first…
-
@Maureen Gilchrist w/o a cost comparison I will add to the list of possibilities. You might try Clockify. https://clockify.me/
-
I believe your issue is related to having time estimates for the tasks. Check if all the iisues have an estimated time and that people are logging time against their tickets.
