@KAGITHALA BABU ANVESH@Chris Finckis working on a Next-Gen project. You can't make the resolution visible. You can set a resolution programmatically. I suppose if you create a new text-based called resolution then you could copy the resolution value to that field but I haven't tried that yet.

I would love to be able to tell you a way to do this in Next-Gen but it ain't possible. I found Next-Gen to be so frustrating that I moved our Next-Gens back to classic just so I could work with them.
-
@lisaI just tested this in one of my own plans. I added extra sources to the plan, took the one project source that alphabetically showed up in the middle of the board, changed it's name by adding a period to the front of the name and it moved to the top of the list. This indicates to me that you can change the order by…
-
@lisaI hadn't tried to do this yet since I've just started with planning myself. I can suggest using priority or ranking as a way to order them in the list but that is a really crude way to go I would think and that would likely screw up other things. Can you use a JQL filter to get them in order although it would also…

@Vivek Soni, yes they have been having webinars usually about once a month. Usually presented by someone with a lot of Atlassian experience. Definitely keep your eyes on the community link and sign up for email updates from them.
-
Sherry Kinch, you'll probably need to insert the pictures in the same answer as your text. Atlassian has a bug I think where you can't insert just a picture without text.
-
@Stephan Sherethere is a webinar tomorrow. atlassian-phoenix-presents-the-things-that-should-not-go-in-your-jira
-
I suggest that the next time you post this job that you include the particulars of how to apply for it directly through the Volunteer Match website.
-
@Zoe BarrI do not recommend going to Next-Gen projects at all. They are wonderful for a brand new instance with a small team to get up and running but I am now having to convert various Next-Gens to classic projects just to get Epic burndown for instance.
-
@Zoe BarrI don't have an answer to your specific question but you might want to start pushing for a changeover to cloud. I saw a post the other day that said Atlassian is going to stop selling the server version.
-
@Fazila Ashrafthank you for finding what I suspected to be true. Atlassian needs to do a better job of hiding fields that aren't available for use across projects. In fact the more I learn about Next-Gen projects the less I like them. It goes against the good practices of keeping your instances clean by not cluttering up…

I just stumbled onto this from an Agile Community Post. Demo Den sounds like the type of thing I need to pay attention to. I'm glad you came out with this series right now. I've just upgraded our company to Premium with the main intent of having Advanced Roadmaps (plus my second fav thing, unlimited Automation) and need to…

Ilidio, can you explain what was wrong with the rule and how you solved the JQL error message?
-
Hello Jared, I've been using Jira for some time now myself but I still consider myself to be new here especially since I've become the Site and Org admin and now scrum master. I've finally become more immersed in the Community myself and it has already paid dividends in learning new tricks and tips.
-
I have not tried Slack yet. We currently are using Teams site wide. Is Slack better for communicating within the Atlassian environment?
-
Thanks Monique. The need to add text was the issue. I apologize if I gave Erica credit for that tip elsewhere. But that said at least two newer-ish members of the community learned something new.
-
So the reason I was asking about this was you alluded to a relationship between Advanced Roadmaps and Portfolio. My use of Advanced roadmaps is to try and replace or supplement a tool called FastProject which is a FTTM overlay to MS Project as a way of making Agile methodology more applicable to a company that is producing…

Thanks Matt (and Ben😉). I don't know if this is the method of reaching out to me from the training day session you mentioned but it will definitely work if that is the case.
-
Thanks Erica. 😍
-
OK Peter, I'm going to find out if Erica is telling the truth now that we know what your evil plan is.
-
Erica, I can't get a GIF to "stick". I tried yesterday and got a confirmation from another member that they couldn't post one either. We assumed it was a technical glitch and that it would get fixed. I tried again today and it still isn't working. Do you know what's up on Atlassian's end?
-
Thank you for confirming Veronique. I thought I was doing something wrong with posting it or violating some kind of policy/copyright infringement. I'm going to try later because it is too good to pass this up. 🤣
-
I wanted to post a GIF and can't make it stick.

This came directly from the Atlassian Community Group just awhile ago. https://careers-ablevets.icims.com/jobs/3163/jira-administrator/job?mobile=false&width=1200&height=500&bga=true&needsRedirect=false&jan1offset=-420&jun1offset=-420

Marco, I hve been able to solve the first problem of my rule. It turns out you need to have the automation rule set the required field. This allows for the issue to be created which then allows for the issue to be linked back to the triggering issue. Now I have to solve how to get the rule to correctly assign the issue to…
-
Good Day Marco, Yes, the Date Needed field is currently a required field (it is set as required in the field settings) in the Purchase Req. project and I do enter a date when it comes up in the create issue screen as you can see in the above screen shots. I do find it interesting that the screenshot I have doesn't have the…

John, Welcome to the club. I think I'm a bit behind you on this journey to agile. I've been involved in electronics for many years but have only recently started with Jira and trying to get tuned up on the Agile process and everything that goes with it. I've not been able to get into enough training yet to get any certs.…
-
Good morning @Bridget and @Liam Green Same here. I've attended a few webinars already but have never heard about this group/forum/blog/??? I've been involved in the electronics field for many years and have started working for a startup for the first time developing a stratospheric ballooning system using agile engineering…

Welcome to the world of Atlassian Add-Ons.

LOL, somehow Nic I find it hard to believe you have trouble with OR & AND given how often I see your posts here in the community. I'm really an engineering technician and not a software guy by trade except for LabVIEW. I had Jira brought in by someone else based on the recommendation of someone who is no longer here, and…
