  • @Theresa Gothard, are you looking for a way to have a single user be notified when an issue (or is that all issues?) is set to one particular status? At first glance, it seems to me that you just need a filter and then set up a subscription for it. Or this user could have a dashboard that is updating all day long.
  • @Rebecca Hylek, Going back to your original survey question, I would say about 50/50. For my development teams, it would qualify as the simple "no transitions you described. Four status choices with the All transitions. On the other side of the fence is my home-brewed mini-ERP projects. Manufacturing and Purchase…
  • To add to Nic's comment there is another link you might want to check out: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-release-notes-327.html
  • You do not need to use the REST API at all. You'll need to have a project available but all you need to do is import issues or just start creating them in the plan. Once you've created the issues you need to start with, you update the project right from the plan using the Review Issues button at the upper right. That…
  • I think you need to check a few things. It looks like your search should work. For the search results be sure to display the columns that specifically pertain to your search parameters. For instance, it's not obvious to me that the returned issues are unresolved. That way you can compare the results to the search. Make…
  • One more thing to look for. Be sure you have the parent link field available in your Epics to be able to link them to the Initiative that is the Parent.
  • Glad I could help. Not all me though. Thanks to @John Funk also.
  • Ouch. I didn't realize that Epic link didn't exist as a field to check. Another annoying day with Jira. I started to go down the smart value rabbit hole and then thought better of that. I got this idea from another community post here from @John Funk. Missing Epic Link in the Automation's Issue fields condition? Since you…
  • @Kitty CrawfordI think what you need to do is to be more specific on the field you are changing. In other words, your issue needs to have the Epic Link field and use that as the trigger.
  • Welcome to smart values and lists. I've just spent a few days dealing with a similar problem. I would guess your count being off by 1 is related to the default value for the custom counter field. I would verify that it is 0 or none. I believe what is happening is that it is iterating all of the issues found in the trigger…
  • This appears to be a repackaging of the Business project. If it is, I will never use it again. After discovering the "feature" of disappearing issues from the board in a business project (not just the Completed issues in the Done column) I had to recreate the project as a software project and migrate all of the issues to…
  • @John FunkI have used your suggestion to create a board to limit the number of Status choices for a user who only needed to see certain parts of the workflow and linked it to the same project as you described. I will try this out in the sandbox. I will try this out in the sandbox and let you know.
  • @John FunkI was originally thinking that was how I was going to handle it. A second board. This is what I've done in the past for my other projects with more than one workflow. I couldn't figure out how to make it work in the business project though. I had the different issue types with their corresponding workflows in the…
  • @B_ Normann P_ Nielsenthat's the conclusion I came to as well. It's what I decided to do while waiting for a possible workaround. The issue now will be a column in my workflow that for most people in the company will be empty.
  • @Jyotsna Vairagkarplease try the link again. I think I inadvertently locked out that page. Also after rereading it I think you might have more questions.🤔
  • @Juanita Pardoif you are using Confluence for your KB article, include an info. box at the top explaining how to highlight text and comment on it. If you have an add-on that allows you to create a fillable form on your page you could have a comment box.
  • You'll need to figure out who is your Org & Site Admin under users. Scroll down through the users list until you find a name that has that suffix. That person is the Keymaster. Start there. That person will have all the access permissions needed to set you up. Hopefully it isn't the person who left.
  • @Trudy P ClaspillI suppose the gadget could be different for Standard. I am using Premium so we'll have to wait and see if someone else chimes in. If you click on the "Add a filter" link does it give you more options?
  • Hello @Trudy P Claspill Yes, this is an Atlassian-provided gadget for Dashboards. You're looking at how it's provided in my screenshot above. The gadget is Activity Streams, not Available Streams. What I am asking for is the location of the documentation for this gadget so that I can understand how the activity called…
  • Thanks for your help, Rob. I knew about the product access page and that was where I figured out my problem. We needed to change permissions to allow some outside contractors access to certain Jira projects and some Confluence spaces. I inherited a lot of bad setups in our system and have let some bad habits continue (any…
  • OK, well this is something new that I was unaware of. Here is what I see when I follow the directions from the link you sent.
  • @VishwasI'm curious to know if that is really true. I do not use version release here but was thinking about using them as milestones in certain projects that do carry issues from multiple projects. I have not tried this yet but your comment about advanced roadmaps has me wondering if you can have the plan make all of the…
  • @Dean Cappto answer your first question, no it doesn't structure them in any way as you create them from Jira and there isn't any direct tie to the issue hierarchy in Jira. The idea is to directly create a space tied to the Jira project right from it instead of going to Confluence first, creating a space, and then having…
  • @Brent Hallthis would be the best way to do what you want. If the user has access to one board in a project he could also have access to the project page. Only give the customer permission for the project page space that gets created from the project page. For the internal Confluence project space, create a label for the…
  • @Benoit Crouzitit appears that @Jamie Swanson misunderstood your question. The new project pages when first opened has the button to create your first project page right in the center of the blank page. Once you create the first page from that link it also creates a new SPace in Confluence for that project. Once a page is…
  • Regarding this thread, I have found this documentation reference a great place to start to hone your search skills using JQL. https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/advanced-search-reference-jql-operators/ TO answer the specific question regarding = / IS it is on the page I linked but it states…
  • @Claudia McCalla, RN OK, I'm updating this reply after looking at the You Tube Video @Patrick Schüßler _yasoon_ linked in his reply. Are you using the Atlassian built add in or the YAssoon one mentioned in the video? Ooof, it's a bit of a mystery since it appears to be system-related. I would ask your IT dept. about this…
  • I have a question @Claudia McCalla, RN . Are you working strictly in the cloud? Can you add a screenshot of the error. My cloud account seems to be working OK right now so I doubt there is an outage of some sort.
  • @Lennon Liaoare you able to see Cloud service requests? I had a ticket open for a day or so until I solved the problem. The information is all on that ticket. It's in JST-716005.
  • Wow! Atlassian has a celebrity spokesperson now.
