Hello @ankush174, You are right. We do have a Server version of the app but the vast majority of our customer base for this app is on cloud and that is the direction we are planning to develop further.

Hi @Julia Foden, We use the google translate API for the translations, so that covers pretty much any language combination you can think of. Full list is here: https://translate.google.com/intl/en/about/languages/

Hi @Brijesh Patel you stand correct. You would have to add a 3rd-party plugin like our SAML SSO for Jira to do this. You can still authenticate users with Okta's free connector and let our application do the attribute updates for you, in which case you can also purchase the User Sync app separately for a fraction of the…

Hi @Kim Cusick, Thanks for the tip ;) I've made the edit you suggested.

Hi @Venkatraman KM, If I understand correctly, you have a Confluence Server instance that you want to connect to AD or Okta for doing SSO. You will need a third party add-on to do this, as there is no native SSO capability for Atlassian products in Server. You can choose resolution's SAML SSO for Confluence, which is the…

Hi @RishabhT , Jira doesn't support project custom fields out of the box, but you can install Profields for Jira cloud and get that use case covered quite neatly. Their cloud functionality is not as comprehensive in Cloud as it is in Server, but you'll get your custom fields and I think also the ability to query for them.

Hi @Juan P Gomez, We're very familiar with your problem. You could try Resolution's API Token Authentication for Jira, which among other things solves precisely the use case you mention: the lack of local passwords when Jira is under SSO impedes user access to the API. With API Token Authentication you have a complete…

Thanks for your help, @Shannon S!

Hi @Shannon S , This article has been in moderation for a number of hours (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/5-Recommendations-for-a-Secure-Transition-to-Normalized-Remote/ba-p/1425483#M1346). It was submitted to the marketplace apps section and contains a few recommendations on helpful apps…

Hi @shadow.fang, It's generally not a great idea to create your own plugin for security requirements. What starts like a small project might grow and become unmanageable when you start identifying loopholes, bugs, additional requirements and other maintenance issues to keep the plugin up to date with Jira. I recommend…

It's been some time since @David San José's question was posted, but I think a distinction has to be made that can be useful to other people searching for this problem. Basically, @Angélica Luz's workaround seems to be the only option when it comes to the cloud deployment of Jira Service Desk. For customers on Server/Data…

Thanks, Robert!

Hi @Daniel Eads , Are there any updates on this?
-
Hi @Bamini Subramanian, if you're in Server or Data Center and concerned about getting rid of associated schemes and workflows, you can use the bulk deletion that comes with Profields. I wrote a little article to explain precisely that use case:…

It shows!

I love the drawing! It contains so much in so little space, and you have a great hand. It'd be great to have similar drawings in 201 to summarize tactics.

Hi @HyunSung Jang , I'm aware I'm posting really late, but this may be helpful to others who are facing the same problem. One great alternative to bulk delete components without any coding or back-end work is by using Profields' Bulk Operations. You can see the documentation here, it does exactly what you were looking for.…
-
Thanks for your comment @Petru Simion _Simitech Ltd__ ! We are more than an utility, but your app seems interesting!
-
Hi @tobbk , Apologies for posting so late! I'd like to bring your attention to an alternative for creating and modifying components in bulk without the need to script anything. In Server and Data Center instances of Jira, you can use Profields' Bulk Operations to modify project attributes in bulk. Component modification is…
-
@Tej what I meant is that you should put a process in place that automates the deletion of schemes and other project attributes provided that the deletion of a project makes them orphan. Again, check the link above to see more about how to do this with Profields. For full disclosure, I work at DEISER, Profields'…

Thanks so much for sharing, @Thomas Bowskill!

Thanks for the advice @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- !

Hi @Balakrishnan Vaidyanathan, There's not, because the definition of a project in Jira has its intricacies. It depends on what you want to track as progress. Portfolio for Jira might do it if you're looking at the percentage of time worked over multiple teams. If you're looking for something closer to project management,…

This is an important open question for many of us. I hope Atlassian can give some clarity here.

Thanks @Gonchik Tsymzhitov ! Glad you liked it.

Since the link in @bryan_morgan's response is broken, I'd like to leave a link to the presentation he mentions on Slideshare: https://www.slideshare.net/GoAtlassian/cutting-through-the-noise-breaking-down-hierarchical-communication-channels-and-silos

Sounds like a sensible move!

Hi @Pooja Shukla, After reading your question I realized I forgot to mention that part. Yes, you can create a gadget based on any filter in the Project Navigator, including this one. I'll go ahead and correct my initial formulation. Thanks, J

Hi @Leena Bakshi and @Thomas Schlegel , You can change project lead to any number of projects at once if you use Profields' Bulk Operations. See the documentation here. For full disclosure, I work for Profields' manufacturer DEISER.
